Well, based on advice here, and on ARFCOM, I pulled the trigger on a set-up.

How did I do?

VAMO V2 Variable Voltage, Variable Power - Advanced Personal Vaporizer Stainless Steel X1
18650 Cells (batteries): Two (2) Efest IMR 2000 mAh Cells X1
Charger: Trustfire TR-001 Dual Slot Charger X1
18650 - IMR Lithium Ion battery - Efest - 2000 mAh X2
Trustfire Multi-functional Charger for Lithium Ion Batteries X1
Kanger T3 Replaceable Coil Clearomizer X4
Kanger T3 Replacement Coil Resistance: 2.4 to 2.6 ohms 5 pack X4

I know that I need to get some panasonic batteries, and I will. Also, I know I over-paid for the vamo, but I was looking for one in-stock in the USA to save shipping times.

I am out-the-door on the above for $118, and it should ship out Monday from a domestic merchant.

I went ahead and got the USA blend tobacco flavor juice, with extra shots of flavor and 24mg Nicotine from MtBaker. Against advice, I did get a 236ml quantity. I don't want to get stuck without any since I am in rural MS, and have to mail order everything. I will be trying other juices until I settle on one.

I'll also try various tanks until I settle on one.

Once I settle on those things, I intend to order a 3-6 month supply of all consumables, and eventually a second kit.

I really appreciate all of the help, and I would appreciate any input you can give me!

I hope you enjoy your vamo and goodies. Best of luck to you. My only concern is I sure do hope you love that 236 ml bottle of juice. Wow. I think you definitely need to order some sample packages from various vendors. Also, get a fruit and a sweet or dessert juice just to check out. Most of us felt we needed to start vaping a tobacco flavor and move on to fruits or desserts instead. Some teas are nice also. Just keep your mind open to your vaping possibilities because the important part on making vaping successful is finding flavors you really love.

Ok, low battery indicator, ego size. Several out there. The Kgo, the ego V, and my favorite the iTaste 3.0. There are some knockoffs too that have an LED display. The iTaste also has an Ohms meter and is variable wattage (6.0 - 11.0 Watts). Very nice: IVape has them on sale. Use coupon code "itastevv" to save $15, making pricing $35. You may need two, one for backup. IVape is here:

iTaste VV 3.0 - Variable Wattage Device - Pearl Chrome | Variable Voltage | MODS | iVAPE

I have three of these and they completely replaced my many ego's, twists, spinners, kgo, etc. The bomb, imho. Good luck and Vape On!

Looks good John. Your batteries are fine - but you may want to get a better charger. I have a couple of Trustfire TR-001s, - they work ok. But, they will take along time to charge your 18650 batteries. I'm talking maybe 6-8 hours, and sometimes people have found it took even longer.
This is a better quality charger that also charges them quicker - as an suggestion and FYI:
Battery Chargers : Xtar WP2 II
I have one of those myself and its been excellent. It also has a good reputation.

That site has the Panasonics, Efests and AW IMR batteries as well.

My other suggestion is to get some cartomizers. They are the easiest attachments to use and make good back ups - if you have a bad clearo day a carto can be a lifesaver. Blank cartos will keep forever as well. I've found 2.4 -2.8 ohms good for the Vamo.

Hope you enjoy the Vamo - I've had months of good use out of mine.

Very, very nice...mod envy! Try some sampler packs for juice. MyFreedomSmokes has a nice tobacco sampler. Many others. Those Efest batteries are nice, won't need the Panasonics, imo. Vamo stainless was a very good choice. Just ordered one myself from the Hong Kong guys, who didn't have them two days ago, when I ordered my daughter one for her BDay. I would add some evods, replacement heads and a Protank.

Good choice on mod but the charger could be better. Always keep an eye when charging. Too many complaints regarding batteries and chargers that say fire. A good one is the Nitecore brand charger.

I've never liked the Kangers but many people enjoy them. As for the juice, if you don't like it at first, let it steep for a while and check again.

Good start.

Thanks guys.

I did just notice something. I'd like to get-- if possible-- a car charger and/or pass-through as well as a USB charger. I don't think mine will come with those.

What would I need to get for the Vamo V2?

Thanks!

Did you mean you want those for the Vamo? You can't use a Vamo as a passthrough or charge the batteries while they are in the pv or use a usb. Also - not the kind of batteries you charge in the car.
Not sure of if read your question right there but I think that's what you were asking..

I think it sounds like a good setup. I have the Vamo 2 also. Love the adjustments and more than on button. I found that 4 18650 batteries is a good number. Carry a spare with me, but the batteries last over a full day for me. I'm a pretty heavy vapor. As far as juices I would suggest Mountain Oak Vapors Premium Tennessee E-Liquid - The Best American Made E-Liquid on the market!. They have good selection, quality, and prices. I get the 3 bottles of 30ml. I haven't had a juice from them I haven't liked.

No, no, no, NO. Stop it, Bill. Replaced the eGos? But is this setup compatible with anything else? It's all *Square* and stuff...!

Why must you hurt me every time I think I've hit "Check out now" for the last time for a few months?

You'll get a lot of recommendations for kits and tobacco-flavored juices - don't be surprised or disappointed if a kit or juice that some love just doesn't work for you.

That said, here's what I'm trying:

I've been impressed by the Halo Triton line as a starter setup. No muss, little fuss, and no leaks.

On the tobacco-flavored juice side, these are working nicely for me:
Legend from Heather's Heavenly Vapes..I have Heather's Shadow queued up next in my "to try" list
Sunset Cavendish from Hurricane Vapor
Belgian Simmered Tobacco also from Hurricane Vapor

I have a couple Provaris but recently got the Itaste because its a nice battery and can be used as a pass through. I enjoy it at the office and running around. They are very nice and you can get by with one batt since its a pass through when charging.
