When you get one, take a look at the iTaste VV v3. It's a great little device that is around the size of an ego for around $25. It does a lot for the price. It'll check the resistance of the coil, display remaining battery life, and does both variable voltage and variable wattage. My husband finds variable wattage easier to vape with. It's like variable voltage, only once you set it you never have to set it again. With variable voltage, you need to adjust up or down if you change to a coil with a different resistance. In variable wattage, the device adjusts the volts itself to get you the same hit no matter what you put on top of it.

Another to consider, if you don't mind the larger size, is the MVP 2 for around $40.

Hi, I smoked for 24 yrs and decided to try ecigs. I tried the blu 1st and didn't like them. Then I saw the vaporzone pro (resembles the kanger evod) so I bought it. The 1st month the taste of the ecig was great and I weaned myself off cigarettes to none. I then purchased additional clear cartomizers (resemble kanger 2) and atominizer heads (1.8 ohms) and have been getting a burnt flavor which I really can't stand and found myself having a few cigarettes. The battery is 650 mah 3.7 volt. Eliquids are 12mg, 50/50. Is the atominizers 1.8 ohm the problem should I order 2.5 ohm? Or what could be causing the burnt taste with every flavor? Please help!!

There are a ton of variables to the vaping process. For me I have come to look at it like a pipe. Before I hit the fire button, I take a light draw to gauge airflow and if it is flooded or dry. Dry heads will sound more airy and have a different sizzle to the sound when fired. When I press the fire button for the first toot of a session I hold the drip tip near my ear to see if dry just a quick 1-2 seconds. If it sounds dry you can plug the air hole with your thumb, and draw suction, then remove your thumb. This will over come the vacuum in the tank and prime your wick. If flooded you can hold the fire button and turn the device upside down for 1 second. Then vape away. I know it sounds like a hassle but overcoming the machine is key to not using tobacco.
