I have to laugh every time I see my dad wearing that stupid cowboy hat. It was actually mine that I bought at a yard sale last year for 50 cents. I was going to throw it away but he took it.

I know that. My dad has been venting for months now about how this country is going to hell and that people are letting it happen. He is right. I graduated from high school with high honors and I am still looking to find a meager job as a burger flipper. There is nothing out there.
I remember that Valedictorian speech we had about how you could be whatever and you can do whatever. I learned now that was nothing more than a pep talk full of bull.
I really don't want that hat back. The dog peed on it and I was throwing it away. But my dad took it and cleaned it. But still.

Thanks Pat for letting us know about your dad. I love him!! You are lucky to have such a great father, though he can be opinionated like alot of us. At least he has an opinion and stands by it. That very thing is lost alot in todays world. Funny thing is, alot of what he says just comes from having some common sense.

We all get a little steamed sometimes. I don't always agree with him, but at least he has a sense of humor. I'm always glad to hear his opinion.
He's a good guy. A bit weird but whose dad isn't? Seems like a real honest, compassionate guy. Hope his ban is shortlived!

Yeah, I remember our speech for my class back in '04. Good thing I was slightly tipsy (I had a good reason) and didn't believe a word of it anyways. Worked full time for 3 years and then bam....disabled
