Welcome to all you newbs! :)

Yeah you will move on from your first PV, we all do, though so far so good I'd say! Starting when you realize you don't need a "kit" at all rather can just buy parts provided the threads match (many of the most popular ones do-510 threaded-but there are little adapters for really cheap too).

Be sure to check out the Classifieds and Deals and Steals before you spend any more money! There's a coupon code master list aorund too. Can search for it.

Hi
I'm also new here. I quit analogs on May 15th 2011. I picked a 510 starter kit and it is a good choice. It is easy to learn and very few problems. Mostly my mistakes. I have been looking at KR808's and the one that got my attention is the Volt. It has a long lasting batty and you can get a lot of Carts and Cartomizers for it and it is very convenient. Just a thought from a newbee.
Good Luck
C

Hello all as well!! I'm new to Vaping and thought I would start here.
I really have no choice but to start here..
I hope eveyone is doing well, I look forward to finding out more about vaping as well as others who do so.
I have not smoked analogs for 2weeks 2 days. Thanks to vaping I don't miss it a bit.
I just noticed I put the wrong time Zone for were I live I'll try to change that.

I don't miss it either. I smoke very occasionally if both my batteries are dead while I wait for them to charge but I've noticed that cigarettes (at least the brand I used to enjoy thoroughly) are disgusting to me now. The taste and the smell. When I started e-cigs my intention was to save money - and smoke where I want, but it's almost forced me away from traditional cigs altogether. I'm really pleased. I feel healthier and smell better. I sing in my band and it's feels so much easier already (and it's only been like 3 weeks for me so far). I'm glad I stumbled into this.

Everyone on this forum I've ran into so far is really encouraging. I understand why now. The choice is a no-brainer.

Cheers.

Hello everyone! My first post xD. I recently made the decision to purchase SmokeTip. It will be 2 full weeks 2mro since I had a real cig out of need. It has only been 2 weeks but since I picked up the smoketip for the first time I have had no real desire to have an analog! I did have one 3 days ago just out of curiousity. It tastes like an ashtray smells and I won't pick another up. Since I started only 2 weeks ago, 5 of my family members have ordered their own PV! Hope they all stick with it too!

Cost is a really big thing for me. I live in Juneau,AK and smokes are around $7-$10/pack! My wife and I each smoking a pack a day is just rediculous! Last night I ordered my first DIY stuff. I want to see how low I can get my prices. I have quite a few cartomizers now.. didn't realize I could refill them at first.

myxomatosis... I went with the SmokeTip. Just received my starter kit on June 27th and so far so good. I'm glad to hear that you still like yours; I was nervous after making the purchase. Good luck to you :)

I am happy with my SmokeTip. I'll probably end up purchasing a more effective system later on down the road, but from what I've heard it's a great starter kit, and it's helped me successfully kick my traditional cigarette habit.

I've searched and searched for reviews regarding SmokeTip's flavored cartridges. I like the regular flavor but I wanted to branch out a little and ordered chocolate and vanilla. The vanilla is perfect. Very subtle but definately there. It's my new favorite. The chocolate one kind of tastes a little like the chocolate scented candles smell. It's still very light and managable, but I'd perfer the regular or vanilla to it personally.

Has anyone else tried any of ST's flavors? I'm not really interested in the clove flavored (clove cigarettes - just smelling the second hand make me wanna yak) or the almond or menthol flavors, but I'm curious to the grape, cherry, apple, peach and strawberry. If you've tried any of these let me know what you think!

I ordered one the variety packs from ST on my first order. 2x 10 packs marl and 1x 10 pack variety. The fruity flavors were all fairly pleastant to me, I can only stand so much of them tho. I will have a few drags of the fruity and then have a whole Marl cart before having more of the sweeter stuff. I can say that since I have started getting more of my sense of taste back I have begun liking the sweeter flavors better.

The vanilla is not my style, neither is the almond. I like their coffee flavor, tastes more like coffee smells to me tho. Which is good cause I love the smell of coffee.

keep in mind I have only had ST flavors so far, so not much to compare too xD
have several flavors from other vendors in the mail now tho!

I'm not sure about ST. I have a 3.7V 650 mAh battery with a 510 connection. I put a LR Atty or a Cart on with a driptip.
I don't get the prefilled carts, I just get juice from PinkSpot, Tasty V, and M's T's. 24mg nicotine.
80PG/20VG works for me. I'm waiting for my 14500 batts to be able to use my 5V box mod.

Do you know if it is possible to use cartridges other than SmokeTip's using their 180mAh battery?

AFAIK the SmokeTip is just a KR808D-1, so yeah. Heck, you could buy into a 901 compatible rig is you so desired. A riva 901, A nomad DSE-905, or a pig cig (le cig). Units rated 650mAh have the benefit of not needing battery replacement for a year. I'd expect a 180mAh unit to require as many as 6 in a year due to the charge cycle limit. It's not a huge expense, but justifies the the investment in unit like the Nomad which takes 14500 batteries that cost ~$5 from Madvapes. azsmokefree has it for ~60. There are other mods you can get into like 510s with KR808 adapters, or the reverse.
