So my first adventure in ecigs was a cheap rite aid set up. I then stepped up (or so I thought) to Smoketip ecigs.

At first, Smoketip seemed good. But as soon as I received my first refill back, the taste was a lot different. And not in a good way. It's almost like Smoketip sends lower quality refill packs then they give in their starter kit.

Anyone else have issues with this? Don't really matter now, as I'm in the world of mods, just wondering if it was just me that noticed this with Smoketip.

Thanks!

+1, what Vapoor eyes er said ...

Anytime you see an ecig priced that high and trying to tell you that you have to refill through them, it's a red flag. They are trying to get as much money out of you up-front before you figure out the truth ... a lot better and cheaper options can be found.

Vape On! :)

Yeah, I am now into the mods. Have a nova tank on a mechicanical mod and I notice not only is the flavor better, but I do notice it is a lot cheaper. I have only begun to scratch the surface of what is available. My next investment will probably be a VV mod. Not sure what to get to though. Looking at vamo or itaste. But then again, not 100% sure if thats the right move for me...yet

My mother actually started vaping with a SmokeTip kit. I can't say anything bad about it, it got her vaping and off cigs. She moved on after a few weeks but it helped her transition from smoking to vaping. She actually liked their liquid. I had a hard time at first finding an e-liquid that she liked as much as their tobacco flavors. I do seem to remember someone posting though, complaining about the refill cartos not working well.

They do have a 30-day Money Back Guarantee. Not on the cartos, but you might be able to return it.

lookalikes are horrible. no matter how much they help. once you fall into unreliable vaping, it is the path back to the unmentionables. this happened to me with the blu's, and cost me an extra year of smoking. if you are trying to convert someone, or you are a lurker waiting to take the plunge. avoid the lookalikes. lots of good options for starters that provide more consistent results.

Yeah, except everyone wants something that looks and tastes exactly like a cig when they first start. Until they realize that cigs don't really taste all that great, and performance out-weighs looks eventually.

I don't think the Blu's of the world would get as many sales if they tried hanging an Ego battery, with a Vivi Nova on the end of it at the checkout counters.

But I do agree with your point. It's a shame some of these companies try and gouge a potential life long customer.

Smoketip was my first 808... I quickly learned to fill my own cartos and moved on to other vendors, but they did honor their guarantee on the batteries when one of them died. The 808's were just not enough to keep me off the analogs, but now that I'm playing with mods and tanks I know I can do this!

My thoughts exactly. I don't even think of analogs anymore!
