Hi.

Brand new to the site, and vaping. Have been using some cig lookalikes for just over a week and they have helped me cut down to about 10 a day, but a Volcano Inferno kit should be here today or next.
Was watching a review there though. and the guy was saying he wasn't getting as strong a vape as with the variable voltage models, so I'm wondering if the Inferno tank will work with the likes of a Joye ego-c twist (if needed) and if that would be a stronger vape? If not, any suggestions would be appreciated (would like to stick with the Inferno tank, and don't want anything too gigantic) thanks.
Really want to get off the analogs completely but need to feel that hit on my throat (I'm hoping the Inferno will do it, but want to upgrade right away if it's not enough).

Welcome , and if both devices use the same connection IE 510 thread , you should have no problem , except a lack of enough power to get a good vape . You might want to check out the Vamo , or Segelei Zmax , both are varible voltage , as well as varible wattage , and will provide plenty of power , for whatever you decide to use . Vamo's 40.00 or less . Zmax , around 65.00 to 75.00 Good luck

That appears to be a low resistance carto in their tank. As long as the battery has enough mA capability, it should work ok on a Twist or Spinner, both VV. I haven't used the Volcano, but it looks pretty much like most low end tanks, i.e. the Artemas and such. They'd work OK on your battery as well. There is a "slim" artemas, and there are other tanks in about the 3 ml size. (The bigger tanks tend to run around 5 ml and up, the slim is about 2.)

The advantage of VV is that you can adjust to suit your tastes and preferences.

Welcome to ECF and the wonderful world of vaping!

And, you might want to try some juices with different nic levels. That can make a huge difference in your success rate. It did me!

Howdy. Welcome to the forum. I started with the Inferno...months after a failed attempt with the cig-a-likes...and it worked just fine. Cartomizer tanks, like the one that comes standard with the Inferno kit, have a bit of a leaning curve. My advice is to watch a few YouTube videos and you will see several different ways to prime it. Find which works best for you and do that.

If it turns out to be too frustrating, as it was with me for a little bit until I actually got it down, then get a cheap clearomizer tank like a Kanger or ViVi Nova. Kangers will require an adapter to fit the battery though, but they're cheap and easy to get.

Of course the Inferno doesn't hit quite like a variable voltage device; it only puts out 3.7 volts whereas most VV devices go to 5 or 6 volts. But it's a fine, dependable device to use for a while until you get the hang of things. I quit smoking overnight with it.

I type too much or too slow, hence the edit to answer your question:
Thanks, do you know if the Vamo and Segelei will work with the Inferno tank?

Yes, the Volcano cartomizers are a standard 510 thread and will fit any 510 device.

To get the throat hit you will want some liquid that has at least 50% pg and 24mg nicotine. There are plenty out there. The second thought would be a VV with a good delivery device. The mini tank system that comes with the inferno is good. You would get a bit better result with the twist/ spinner for sure. The included carto is a dual coil 1.5ohm (which is essentially two 3ohm in series). It will drain the batteries a little faster. It should give you plenty of wattage. If you switch to a single coil with the VV you can really start adjusting the throat hit. Like Renzuli said some of the bigger VV / VW mods will give all the needed power for sure. but I think you can improve with the twist and not break the bank. Everything else looks good.

Crud...., I type so slow I see four or five good answers ahead of mine.

Will give it a go, thanks. Most reviews of the Inferno were positive, but that last one I watched made me a little nervous.

Appreciate all the help.

A tip for ya, that actually goes with any device: don't overtighten the tank onto the battery. Finger snug is all you need. The Inferno battery has a floating pin for the positive connection. Overtightening can smash the pin down and make the connection not work anymore.

Will let you know how I get on after I give it a go.

Actually, I think your fingers got the better of you. Dual coils are in parallel, not series. So the example of 1.5 would be two 3 ohm coils in parallel, making a circuit resistance of 1.5.

The rest is all good :)

My first go was at 18 mg, and for me it wasn't enough, either. Stepped up to 24 and I was fine. Although now I'm starting to wean myself - all the way down to 18...
