Hi guys,

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to the forums, and new to vaping kinda. I got a V2 cigs kit 2 years ago and that worked for me for a little while then I went back to analogs. Well I decided to quit completely and bought an ego c twist 650 mAh battery with a mini pro tank 2 last thursday. I have been loving it! It works so much better than the V2. I already am wanting to explore the better vv mods now. I was looking at the Kamry K201 and the Vamo V5. I don't want to spend too much money, as I am on a budget. I have seen the ProVari and it looks awesome just can't quite afford one right now. After a week of using the ego I have noticed a few things, one the battery life isn't great want something with more batter life, two the vape is good, but a bit more vapor would be nice. The mini pro tank is a 2.4 ohm coil but put on a meter it actually reads 2.1 ohm, I am currently vaping at 3.8v which is good but I think I want to step up to the next step already. Just not sure where to go from here. Hope to get some good advice and guidance from you guys. and I look forward to being a part of the community here.

Welcome to the community!

First, they do have larger size EGO batteries. 650 is a bit on the smaller side. With batteries, it's common for them to "embelish" the MaH. Some embelish more than others. when I first started, I had a 900MaH battery, and a 1100MaH... the 900 would usually outlast my 1100. So, before you buy your next one, look for actual ratings.

Second. I do love my Vamo V5. most people here say spend the extra money and buy a provari or an MVP. I, however, don't have the budget they do. The Vamo V5 works well, just keep good care of it and it will last you for a while. Just look at how you treat your Ego now. Honestly, if it gets dropped, or bumped around a lot, you mgiht want to look into getting something sturdy. Me, I keep my vamo in my inside coat pocket and am looking for a side "holster" for when summer comes..whcih brings me to...

third. the Vamo is quite large. It's not really pocketable like an ego is. look at pictures of people holding a Vamo, It's larger than I imagined when I bought it, but I am used to it by now.

fourth, it does allow you to vape how YOU want to vape. the Variable voltage/wattage allows you to select just how much power you want. sometimes I want heavy, sometimes I want light.... Easy to change with the vamo.

Fifth and last, the option to switch out batteries when one dies is a godsend. I have a four battery charger with the Vamo.. I am never out of battery juice. If I feel concerned, I take a spare battery as a backup.

If you can wait a while, then Fasttech sells it fairly cheap (here). if not, then you might want to find a closer vendor, but chances are you'll pay more. IT took a month for each of mine to arrive to the US. just something to consider.

Hello There!

I am new as well. I am still doing some research before I take the plunge. I am so excited!

I have a couple of friends who still smoke analogs. You said you tried before but are back on the vape wagon. Why did you stop before? and Why do you think you are sticking with it now?

Thank you,
No Nic Chick

Welcome to the forum and so glad you are getting back into vaping. You are off to a great start with what you have so far. I do get most of my stuff from Fasttech just because I have to watch my money too. Check them out, you will be amazed at the prices. I personally wish I had skipped a couple of steps I took at the beginning and just got a MVP2. I love mine. I'm getting about 1100 toots on a battery charge and it handles anything you put on it.

There are wonderful people here and they are all willing to help any way they can. Don't hesitate to ask away. Good luck to you and let us know what you end up getting. heehee Have fun.:)

The Vamo is a good unit, but as another poster on this thread said, it is large. You have the beginnings of a good set up. The EGO gear is great for stepping out when you don't want to carry a mini light sabre with you. Keep the Vamo for home vaping.

It is all personal and subjective. Get what works best for you, and your situation. Me, I went with a VTR as my second APV to suppliment my VMAX. I am out a lot, and I vape a lot as well, so the long battery life and durability of the unit is what drove my decision. It carries nicely in an old cell phone holder I had laying around.

Welcome, and good luck!

Well I tried to quit before cause I was getting into the gym and just didn't need/want to smoke still and also to save money, so I bought a V2 cigs starter kit didn't really know anything about these better vaping alternatives. It worked for a little while but then I was out at the bar with friends and wanted a cigarette and that was the end of it, I only smoked when I was out with friends at the bar didn't smoke at work or home just out. But then decided again to quit but when this route this time and I find the setup I have now to be much more satisfying and works better than the V2 cigs cig alike did.

Keep an Ecig handy, and charged. most people who relapse into traditional cigarettes is because they are available so many places and it's much easier to get the nic "fix" by burning a stinky. They're available almost anywhere. I know this may sound strange, but I suggest when you switch back to E-cigs, stay with it for a short while. With analogs, when you quit, your body is still "trained" that smoke = nic fix. IF you stay with E-cigs for a while, hopefully that will switch your trained body to accept E-cigs as the nic "go to" instead of a regular cigarette. It's a mental habit that needs to be changed. If you do decide to fully quit E-cigs, just think of disposables as a fallback device instead of a regular cigarette. Even a Blu ecig is better than a regular analog.
