I've narrowed it down to vamo V2 or a Lava Tube V2...I am tired of researching!

Also it has more versatility than the other two devices you mentioned

Huh?

I chose the Vamo because IMHO it offers the best of everything... price point, durable, VV, VW, different battery configuration "out of the box", atty resistance, battery charge, 1.2 ohm capability, 5 amp switch, and best of all... best user interface. It is the only device I know of, at any price, that you can perform all functions (besides the 5 click turn on and off) with a single press of one thumb, *while* being able to read the display.

The SS sounds appealing and I'm sure for many it IS, but let's face it... a device you use all day long, every day, will sooner or later start showing wear... even devices made out of stainless steel. And then you either live with it or wrap it with something cool looking. If a jwrap or similar is probably in your future anyway why spend the extra money on SS?

When I said I noticed wear on my chrome one it was exactly that... tiny scratches from being carried in the same pocket as my car keys or maybe some change, a bit of haziness around the buttons (because no one wears clean kid leather gloves all the time), a couple of dings from being dropped onto concrete a few times, etc. It's not like the chrome was flaking off or anything. From 10 feet away it would look just like a new one.

Another vote for VAMO here. I have a Chrome one (not gun metal/black whatever) and while it has some scratches on it from my own clumsiness, I believe youd get that from ANY device you use on the regular.

Great price, ease of use, VV and VW, and can be used in 18350 or 18650 mode easily.

I am new also currently using an eGo Twist and thinking of going with the Vamo for my next upgrade. I like the ability to downsize my tube if the need arises or I am waiting for the 18650 to charge I can throw the 350 in and keep vaping my face off. :vapor:

Found a SS version online for $50 so i think I will go with that. Local shops here sell the chrome and gunmetal which wear off for $70...I will use the extra $20 for batteries!

I'm waiting on the Vamo V2 myself. I also researched until my head spun and I thought I would go through information overload. The Vamo seemed to fit what I was looking for. A device that could be a bit more tailored for whatever my needs might turn out to be with the VV/VW capability. It reads the resistance of the ejuice container so it helps a newbie like me figure out what the best settings to vape on for whatever atty, carto or tank I use. It came recommended by the review pbusardo did on youtube, it's durable, size flexible (18650 vs 1 - 2 18350), doesn't require being plugged in for charging (just charge up the batteries!). It didn't bother me about the finish perhaps wearing cause let's face it, anything that gets handled as much as a vaping device might is subject to wear. Especially with heavy handling as we transfer acids and oils and dirt and goodness knows what else with our hands and fingertips. I imagine you can bling it out with a wrap and some jewel things glued on to that. (Not the actual device itself so you can change it whenever!) After reading so many threads where people started out with one thing and upgraded or switched to another and another and another I wanted something that should suit my needs today, tomorrow and next month. The Vamo fit the bill perfectly.

I ordered my Vamo from vaporbreak. They have a very good deal and it's even better if you log in!

Also forgot to mention , If you go with the Vamo , order a SS version , as the chrome , and black chrome finishes , don't hold up very well . They are finger print magnets , and the finish is very thin , and scratches very easily .

Unless you're like me and think of scratches and finish wearing off as battle scars...:p

I would suggest getting either Efest or AW batteries, as both have good reputations. I prefer the flat tops. I got mine here and it is FREE shipping:

Efest IMR 18350 800mAh 3.7V LiMn Battery Flat Top or Nipple Tops (2PCS)

I own both. Vamo is a great unit. For the price you can't beat it. Has all the features you could ever ask for. Solid. I like the multiple battery configurations. I use it with an 18350 in the short setup most of the time. Lavatube V2. Rocks too. Awesome looking mod. Go for Vamo first. Then get a Lavatube. You will be happy with either one.

I am glad I found this thread! I am thinking of getting the vamo as well. I am BRAND new and my wife is so pleased I quit smoking but I she isn't pleased enough to let me get the Provari yet. I think waiting will be a good thing though. Thanks for making this thread OP!

Just order a ProVari... go with a great from the start, it actually saves you in the end. If everyone buys cheaper to start, only to eventually get the higher end in the end.... add up all that money and you'll be ...... lol... I started with two piece e cigs, went to an eGo twist, then went Provari and glad I did... think about it, no one buys a Provari and says dang, this was totally not worth it, I shoulda bought something cheaper. If you wanna buy cheap and save for the good stuff, get an Ego twist for now $33, it goes to 4.8 volts, not bad and I still have mine and love it but the ProVari is just well.... vape heaven
