Here's what Wikipedia has to say about nicotine gums:

Wikipedia said:
Two unpleasant symptoms which affect some new users, and existing users who make excessive use of nicotine gum, are hiccups[14] and a perceived constriction of the throat muscles, as accidental swallowing of saliva containing high amounts of nicotine may cause irritation.

I use to have hiccups when I smoked to much... And it happens as well when I vape to much. Google niccups.

Seems related to nicotine... I don't know the mechanism behind it though

I didn't start vaping to quit smoking so I've been paying attention to my health as I started vaping.

First week I had a little cough, but it's long gone. A month in I've had acid reflex here and there...but nothing bad. Too much nicotine (and I mean like vaping 18mg almost all day for a non-smoker) can give me a head ache...but sleep fixes it easily.

But no issues with hiccups...
I vape heavier than a smoker does...when I vape I take 3-5 second draws at a time, sometimes I can take three or more draws in the matter of four or five minutes. I do this instinctively...but my vaping friend who smoked thirty years takes note that I vape heavily and she's a HEAVY smoker...so it's saying something.

So id say they have nothing to do with vaping...or id have them already! lol. Hope you resolve your hiccups!

About 80% of the time I get a hiccup or two instantly on each vape inhale for the first few vapes right after eating, then it stops.

Doesn't matter what Nic, 10mg/ml or 24mg/ml, it happens and stops almost like clockwork if I've just ate. And that can mean a meal, or a single cookie

I just assume it's the saliva in my throat is thinner after eating, it doesn't happen after a few more vapes, or I I don't vape and get in a few drinks and subsequent saliva swallows spaced out over a couple of minutes first :)

Im not doubting heart burn but for me and lots of other smokers vaping cured chronic heartburn. I use to have a giant bottle of tums in the house and one in the truck and go threw them in a month now I only get heart burn when I eat to much grease or spicy. I wonder if some high acidic juices might cause heart burn as other might not?
