Smoking causes an elevation in blood pressure from nicotine and
vaping could do that, also. Nic has a tendency toward constricting veins and elevating BP.
I'm more salt sensitive more than nic sensitive when it comes to BP. I can run 126 over 70 for days and get a salt hit from restaurant food and end up at 150 over 80 two hours after the meal. I hardly ever pick up a salt shaker. There's enough sodium in foods to give me what I need. My fasting blood samples show normal NaCl levels. Drinking water washes it away and I'm normal again. Something like 10% of the population are said to be salt sensitive in blood pressure and water retention.
Nic doesn't seem to do that in my case, but no nic might result in lower pressure if i were to actually quit vaping. The only way for you to really know would be to vape 0 nic for a week and monitor your BP.
See your doctor for a diagnosis. You might be one who needs to be on BP meds. I was.
