I know, right!
Ordinarily, DH would have wanted to take care of the issue because he's so handy with everything, but he's gone up to the mountains to a friends cabin for fishing and general male-bonding thing that they do every so often lol

Hey DH does the same thing. About once a year, he will go see an old army buddie. Stays for about a week.

It's cool that they do that. But what worries me.... it's really remote....no cell-phone towers! They have to drive to the nearby town if they want to make a call....
...now what if a health- emergency developed? they couldn't just call 911 like we can here in the city and help would arrive in 1-2 mintues---- not up there in the mountains though!

To bad there is no land line. I can see someone not wanting to pay for it all year around though.

Yeah...no land line- no tv or internet...
....I couldn't do it...I would be panicky being that far away from civilization lol

I'd be okay as long as there was Internet and a phone.
