I appreciate it, I don't mean to be a bioch about it, I'm not mad I'm disappointed... The v3 uses a different spring I believe, it's bigger thicker and runs around the center where the 2.5 fits in the hole with the button shaft.

I had some of the same issues with my paps 2.5. Switch would get hot on sub ohm builds. I broke the whole thing down and cleaned everything really well and it seemed to fix most of the heat. Oxidation is a killer and with sub ohm builds it seems to build up quite a bit faster. I did a full cleaning on my X last night and it feels like a whole new mod, noticeable voltage difference.
Id say try a good thorough cleaning and see if it helps. Oh and if you find 2 MCR's let me know

I need one.No it can't stand with an atty unlocked but they do offer a recessed switch as well.

my mcr with all 3 magnets can stand unlocked with my rocket on top of it.
if you don't want a locking ring, there are flush button switches available as well. from the reviews, it seems a lot of people like them.
also, if you notice that your magnets are getting weaker, stick them to a powerful magnet and stick it in a freezer overnight. the magnets will 'realign' and regain their strength.
I was gonna say I didn't want an mcr but if they have a recessed switch that's a game changer for me. I still haven't played with BCV yet, I'll know today tho. From what I've heard I think BCV is going to be king. I sure hope so.

I really like that! You can sub ohm that as low as you want with no problems?
I don't sub ohm so I can't say. It does have magnets so no danger of collapsing a spring. The lowest I've gone is .6 perhaps some of the other MCR owners can help with that question, though I suspect it will be fine.
I'm interested in what you think of the BCV. I have been eyeing the XXIX for a few days now and I am really digging the look of it, and from what I have read the vdrop is unbelievably low. It is on my ever-growing list of wants, next to an MCR and many others....
I have a condo in Dana Point, 5 min away from BCV, quite a bit closer than Europe for any reason I need parts, or if it's a total pos I'd like to be able to go shove it down someone's throat. Jk of course.
But in all seriousness, it's as small as it gets in 650 pretty much.

It will handle, AND HANDLE WELL any sub ohm builds I can throw at it.

Personally I like stainless steel, but I prefer performance more. I have been using vinyl wraps on all my mods; negating any need for polishing as well as keeping the scratches and dings off so I think I'll be happy with the copper tube.

i honestly couldn't really tell the difference in voltage drop from my XXIX and Surfrider (stainless steel), so i barely used my XXIX. i only use stainless steel mods now. a good design should make the voltage drop not a factor (in terms of what you can feel at least)
I run 2.5 PAPS regularly at .4 on dual coiled Origens with no issue.

My bottom feeder, that I built , the first mod I ever made, has a 0.1volt drop with a 0.33ohm build. It's aluminum with a copper button and a brass bar that connects from the battery to the atty. I spend a lot of time, used the best materials and machinery to build it, but for God's sake, if you are commercially selling and making mods for a living, that's what you do, and they are tube mods, common, they should be at least as good as something that I made, drinking beer at the shop on the weekends. Just my 2 cents...
