Speaking of GP Heron's...I tried this setup last night, wanted to give the 22 gauge a shot (pun not intended) , 7/6 wrap around a 1/8 inch drill bit metering at almost .4 ohms...very good condensed, wet, vapor production and terrific flavor! The only caveat is that I drill the center hole on my Herons with a 1/16 (about 1.6mm) drill bit in a Heron V1.5 base wide open for the needed extra air flow. Overall, only a short pull is needed resulting in a slightly warm vape

Just like Bill mentioned, it's JWrapped. It was realy hard getting the Stingray logo to even show. I do love it though. It's a beautiful mod and the switch throw is very minimal. Only a spin or two and it's locked as well.

I love the patina your anatolian is getting. I got the brushed copper anatolian and it does not seem to want to patina at all. It'll getta little patina but then goes back to its original beauty. Does anybody know if maybe brushed copper holds the patina off a bit??

Well, I just got my Rose V2 delivered. It looks like a very nice atty; I can tell it'll be fun to build on! My plan was to run it on my new ELA, so here's a pic of it on the ELA....I will let you all know how she vapes once I have a chance to build on it!

Thank you for your feedback Idaholandho!! I am ignorant when it comes to rayon...my first impression was "synthetic" and "melting plastic" much like many others have said in the forums. I understand that it is organic, is that true? Any known health concerns?
On another note (for you too Bern Diesel), I found that more cotton in the coil is better in the Heron, especially with a sub ohm build; it holds more juice in the tails which creates a larger reservoir of juice for the coil and reduces the demand for "quick wicking" from the fluff. I twist the cotton as I am putting it in the coil (to maximize how much will fit) then I fluff the tails (be careful about compacting the cotton tails with your fingers as this will reduce their wicking ability to the coil)...surprisingly, it has not negatively affected flavor (contrary to the wisdom that less is more) and I never get a dry hit. Also, as a benefit the tails are very fluffy and short which naturally touch the fluff when assembled; rather than having them skinnier and placed in an upward position to touch the fluff which usually results in them drooping down (from the weight of the juice) and possibly over time losing contact with the fluff (dry hits) and/or creating a hot spot on the coil (loosing contact in the center or edge of the coil) which destroys the flavor. I never use the cotton topper as I prefer two tails touching the fluff (maximizes wicking), and I always use the fluff
Leaking from the Heron is usually a sign of too little fluff. In the past, I have attempted to compensate for a low ohm build by reducing the fluff to the point where it can keep up with the heat (trying to get it to wick more quickly); however it is not a viable solution because leaking becomes the issue. I have found that the way to do it is as mentioned above, since I starting doing it this way I have not had any leaking or over wicking problems at all.
The Heron is a superb device and IMO the best all day vape of any tank I have ever tried...hope it helps
FYI: As I mentioned before, this build requires a good bit of air. I have drilled out the center hole on the Heron deck to 1/16 (approx1.6 mm) which provides the additional air flow and a looser draw. Not sure how this build would perform with stock air flow.

Awesome, Sedge!! I am definitely excited to put a build in it!! Yeah the airflow seems to be much looser than, say, a KFL+ (which is good for me, as I take lung hits).....I don't know if I'll have time to build on it tonight unfortunately, but definitely this weekend!
