^^ I was just thinking that as well. Mothers is great stuff but can be a little aggressive for silver, gold, rhodium etc. I use mothers on the outside occasionally but jewelers polish and sanding block plus polishing papers works the best for me.

The vvs modshine kit is a great place to start actually as well.

Ive been tempted to use jewelers polish and sanding papers so I can get that "like new" look back, but I am always worried about thinning out the thickness of the tube on my devices....

I dont really mind a "lovingly" used look :)

I hear you 100%. I usually reserve the jewelers tools for only the outside. I'm also a big patina fan. However I have a bunch of titanium gear that scratches easily and needs more special care.


Admittedly, I've tried to correct a switch issue with "heavy polishing" and actually made it worse. The switch was undersized and arcing/ misfiring. I polished it to a mirror finish and it was worse. The switch was undersized and I made it MORE so. Jeez.

Out came the calipers....

Bad Durty....
