Oh damn, Im a big Templar fan. Took me forever to find one, but I eventually did. I heard they also made them in full brass with SS accents? Idk if thats true or not.. would look cool though.
Oh and a couple posts up about the Cartel switch.. Hmm, thanks for the info on yours, Im going to take apart my switch and see whats doin.

They had what I recall was a mixed brass "grandmaster"
Aluminum bronze "De Molay"
And the new all SS, and the mixed SS.
Edit: the more I think about it the GM may have been all brass. Too lazy to google.

Oh a couple different kinds, nice. I do like mine, its same as yours, SS with brass. Mine is #239, and it has a Paps X spring in the switch because the first time I took the switch apart, I could never get it back together without the spring binding up. I had read other people had switch issues too so It didn't bother me too much.
LOL. I don't know if it's actually used in pianos. And I was wrong to call it piano wire - it's music wire, whatever that is. I think it is basically just bendable spring steel.
I picked up an Artistic Wire Coiling Gizmo from a local hobby store, but it only had two mandrels in the wrong sizes for vaping. I ended up picking up some "Music Wire" from the local Ace and bent some into the shapes used with the coil gizmo.

This thing is nice. Smaller than most 18650's. I might start carrying this around for an ADV. I heard new top caps are being made. I haven't had a problem with the Zenith.

hem is an invite only forum. they have open registration on the 1st of a month, but not all months. i'm not a member myself since i don't really like the idea of invite only groups, but i hear they are a nice bunch of people there.
Setup for the day. Saw the updates in the microstick forum and it looks like it will be a while before this spheroid gets a permanent home. But it Vapes too well to keep in a drawer. Enjoying some GVC at the car wash!

a bit about the copper cartel LE edition:
the button feels pretty stiff but i like it...in general i wish it had a few more threads for the screw to adjust- considering that copper is a soft metal it worries me a bit that so much pressure and movement is happening while being held together by a single screw with 3 or 4 threads- silver over brass into copper...
here's the real fun.....
my copper cartel self fired twice within a week- both times with a Sony VTC3 in it...
first time i set it down, (my button is always flat with the surface so it's not user error) - i noticed the tobh firing so i ripped it off in time...
second time- i left the cartel/stillare in the car while working, came back to a smell of rotting food- opened the glovebox and went into a frenzied panic! the wires were melted, the insulator was partially melted....mod was ridiculously hot- i think i got to it just in time for an ultrasonic cleaning and a rebuild, lol, and a change of battery....
a few minutes longer and it would need to be sent in for repair....
i spoke to cartel about this-
i blame the tears in the wrapping on my Sony VTC3, as well as the loose wrapping at the bottom- probably an over used battery- the cartel mod doesn't have an insulator and the battery sits snug within the walls, especially toward the bottom taper of the mod...
after a good cleaning, its all good-
cartel was cool about it- if it happens again i will send it in for repair- i switched to using efest 35A purple only for the cartel/stillare and so far so good.....
I MEAN- WOW! I WAS SCARED MAN....LOL.....
