Hi, Piccolos come in two variants... the "hourglass type centre squeezed" version is its newest iteration since Feb-2013 (see Edit), called the Piccolo v3. The earlier version, called the Piccolo Classic v2.6, is now history since the last sale of this month.

Edit: The Classic Piccolo v1 was created in April 2012 and continued to be upgraded to v2. Then around September-2012 it became v2.5 and concurrently a new version was created the same time - the Slanted Piccolo v3 - which got circulated on 21 December 2012 till its last upgrade - the v3.1 - which was on sale this month. A redesigned Piccolo will come out in Q4/2013.
