Not a single recommendation? I contacted the guy at Dees mods and he offered me this DNA40 unit for $850. It's beautiful, but under-powered and over priced.

That is beautiful but under powered even though I really do like the dna 40's. It's tough right now & I feel your pain even though I'm mostly a bottom feeder type. There aren't many readily available "high end/custom" type of mods out there. I just got on the list for a new Italian squonker with the Aulus chip in it. The chip sounds awesome, 50w, temp control with wire profiles as well as TCR. Hopefully the chip performs as good as I expect, also with the DNA 75 coming out hopefully more modders will jump on board offering a little more power than the 40 with the widespread acceptance that the current Evolve chips have.

Here's the mod I mentioned, Infinity RS squonker

I've seem some nice billet boxes, but I want a 510 I can screw things onto. And yes, not enough power.
There is an extension that gives it a normal 510, or at least I believe there is.

I feel you on needing more than 40W though, what about a Tmod with inlay?

He can also do stabilized wood inserts. There is a wait time while he makes the mod.

Yes I nearly bought one (mentioned a couple of pages back). They are good looking and in my price range, but too large and Lipo powered. I'm looking for something smaller that uses one 18650s.

ah,

The stab wood and hybrid wood stuff is almost all get on a waiting list in a secret group. The axis vape is a readily available one. The Tmod has a wait but no secret group.

Does it have to be regulated? There's a stabilized wood Dos Equis, Its parallel 18650 but vaporshark tiny.

Looks like otherwise it will be lurk second hand, or join some of the facebook groups.

Some very good looking mods. But, I am looking for a fairly plain-looking, as to color, dual parallel box-style mod that is higher end in quality components. I am not sure who makes such a product.

This may be a little out of left field but what about the new Efusion Duo? Dual 18650's or a Lipo pack. Evolve DNA 200 chip & really great quality from Lost Vape plus the 1 year board warranty from Evolve, can't get much better than that for a warranty. I have the Efusion Mini & it's a super nice mod, people can't believe it was only $160.
