the two in the center are hana? maybe that is why. they are totally different than that. I did not get hanas at cigtechs. either from hana or hyperion. the receptionist will not even let you talk to him anymore. I guess they got pretty big and used glue. still very nice stuff. I am surprised the ones at vape bash were different back then and also had glue. the new one has the same serial in three places. the quality of the brass case is probably the best I have seen.

this is true. I am collecting these things. before I collected Zippos. some people don't know but rare Zippos are expensive too.

No - sorry to confuse...

They're EPM's (Australian). They're not readily available as building them is a hobby for the modder, serving as an escape from his real job.

I haven't tried to reach T (Hana) since he called me just prior to the DNA30 coming out. Common sense tells me things had changed though, given everything that's happened since. You just confirmed that.

I think we might be speaking of different Vapebashes. You're talking fairly recent, yes? I was thinking back to March or April of 2013, when Hana first came out.

Mine were the ones with the seam, that he revised fairly quickly. But I kept mine because they were great performers. No serial numbers, nothing special - just worked every time.

Like I said, he was good to me so I can only wish him well. I still like his work. Who knows - maybe one day I'll get another.

A friend of mine collected Zippos. Yes they ARE expensive!

I hit all the way to 2000 grit. then polished with butchers was on the orbital polisher. it does not look good? probably my picture.

dplongo, did your hanas have hot glue on the board? I got one of the very first ones at vapebash Chicago and even that one had glue. maybe they hate me or something. I take apart any of my other mods and no glue. the b4s is sweet but I am not so keen on the screws and bb buttons. I guess that is how hana sees fit to build them. at the price they could use magnets and pushbuttons if they wanted I suppose. I think it is very cool but I am already tired of the buttons and screws. using my flask right now. which also was not perfect. came more scratched than the brass hana, button sticks. vicious ant has better qc than most. I am 99.9% sure my mods are genuine. I would not knowingly buy a rip-off of someone's work.

Yeah, on the picture it looks unpolished :p

The new Classic is now live over at ProVape E-Cigarettes: Buy Electronic Cigarettes & Vapor Smokeless Cigs

This is a revised version of the 2.5 with some of the latest features, like being able to use flat top batteries, OLED screen and the P3 top cap.

For anyone interested in a nice device!
If you loved your v2.5, or if it made someone in your life jealous, they've just introduced the next generation model!
Not as many bells and whistles as the P3, but it would make for a nice first Provari, for yourself or a smoker in need! I'm grabbing one as a back up, so I can semi-retire one of my trusty v2.5's...

I actually prefer this one over the P3 ;)

yeah. I meant vapebash 4/12/14. you come all the way to Chicago? it's 7 hours from me but I go often. are you going to the university?
I guess things already changed for them. I wouldn't say it is low quality at all now though.

photography is not my thing at all. that is like a mirror lol.

Maybe they were having troubles with welds and connections breaking/coming loose the old way so they added glue? Just guessing, cause I've definitely seen photos of authentic Hanas with no glue in them..... That used to be one of the signs of a clone :p

I did not attend. I just happened to know he was there with units, because one ECF member returned from it with the very first look (along with one Hana, pictures, and a written review). It's what made me pull the trigger, very uncharacteristically (before any empirical information was available). Well, that plus an intro sale-price Cigtechs was offering.

Receipt of the first prompted me to get a 2nd one immediately, after Trent said he would honor the same price if I purchased it directly from him. That 2nd one is my son's, who still loves it, and the first only recently was sold to an ECF friend.

So my ONLY experience with his devices are with the very early ones, and I can say with confidence that he did a fantastic job with those. They were clean, well built, and work that anyone would be proud of producing. Whatever transpired after that, I cannot say. But my personal experiences were only great, therefore that's all I'd ever present.

I, for one, wish him well. And I have no issue whatsoever with him protecting his trademark. I'd have done the same, and I'd hope/expect that many would. That's why we have trademark protections in the first place, after all.

I like the looks of the new ones too, at least from afar. I don't see myself buying anything in the near future though (which is an opinion subject to change after this morning's breakfast).

To the vape! :toast::vapor:

did you see my polished and wax buffed sx mini in the sx mini thread? looks 100x better than the paint that failed from a leak. I really need the new sx mini because the dna40 kind of does not have enough oomph. I like nickel builds though.

I hope someone knows where I can get that kayfun tip. my kfl+ did not come with a tip like that. it is not a clone.

I did more work on my ipv mini 2, looks even better now

^ Amazing job Citizen Cain :)

Thank you sir! Was a challenge to build but am really enjoying a regulated bottom feeder. My Hellfire Viper comes tomorrow and CAN'T WAIT

Haven't seen that enclosure yet. Where can that be had? Looks fantastic!

It is a GDNA40 by Gdeal. You can purchase all of the necessary stuff, minus the DNA40, from livewiremods

I guess hana has really cut corners. besides the glue you can see a bunch of machining marks and scratches(pic). then they told me it has the latest revision of the dna40 and they will not be upgrading it at this time. it in fact does not have the latest version. it appears their once outstanding customer service has gone south as well. this was not really worth $230 imo. they could have made it worth it. they used to be worth it. I guess they got too big for their pants. I remember when mcdonalds had one store. now go argue your burger was cold. I am a vegan who am I kidding. nevr dull will not take out the machining marks and upset on their stance about the chip. my vapor flask came with scratches and a sticking fire button too. it looks like as production ramps up quality goes down. these companies were probably not prepared for the volume they would ultimately be pushing. cannot even speak with mr. hana anymore. I hate ripping off peoples work but now the clones and genuine article are nearly indistinguishable. there used to be a wide margin. sorry for rant but I felt people should know this. very high end mods like the variant probably remain sound.
