To take a quote from LittleDonkey in the mods by Chels - mini-ecig thread:
":) It is pronounced "X-vo stick" but you can do it as you like, we don't mind."

So say "x vo", "hvo", "zy vo" or whatever else you like. ;)

Interestingly some of the mentions on naming I've found came from early February on Facebook asking opinions on various choices. "HvoStick" was actually mentioned along with a bunch of others. I'm guessing "XvoStick" may have been adapted or inspired by it, not meant as a direct translation.
(a bit like Apple sticking an "i" in front of everything to make it more marketable haha!)

...and looking at some of those other names I am quite thankful it ended up as XvoStick. We could have had "Phat Stick"! lol

Phat Stick (sounds like Fat Stick :)) - is in the near future plans of Chels.
This new stick will use the 26650 battery for more mobility.
And its internal name is ProXvost (in russian ProXvost.jpg means scoundrel or rascal :))

Nice! Thanks, volm. I think the 18650 will be perfect for me though, as I'm looking for a small footprint (similar to my Billet Boxes). But the 26650 will almost certainly be VERY popular, for high-power vapers.

I tootle-puff.

Sounds like my type of weather. :)
Relaxing in the shade under a big beach umbrella drinking iced coffee in 100F+ temps is my kind of day! lol
Will do. :)

Yep, it's all good, until you turn on the faucet..... and dust comes out. ;)

Thank you again for the transla-literations. Since I still can not pronounce the Russian "X", I will do my best at "HOV stick". And I'm guessing by using one I will be able to drive in the HOV lanes, yes?

alistairs........ OPUS love. That's wonderful. Are you loving it and are you vaping to its maximum?

Yep I'm loving it. I have tremendous respect for the guys at Evolv and I couldn't wait to try out their latest. I usually vape at 10-15 watts so I am not interested in the high power, though it does make pre-heat virtually instantaneous, so the resulting vape is incredibly smooth.

I've been an Evolv fan since the D'win myself. So you're vaping at 10 to 15 on it? Eeeeenterressing.

What wire are you using?

Nickel. Lightning Vapes 28g Tempered Ni200, 8 wraps ID 2.5, comes out about 0.1 ohm. That's about all I can fit in the Squape Rs with a W deck. I'm holding off on other wire types until we know more about them.

I also have some Vaporshark Nickel coils for Nautilus, which are about 0.3 ohm, I'll try those later, but I'm sure they'll be fine as I've been using them for months on an rDNA40.

I'm not sure that most vapers know a whole lot about nickel right now either. In fact, there is a very interesting video going around, made by a guy named Ron, from Independence Vapors (in PA), that raises a lot questions.

I'm not a TC guy but if I was, I'd be doing a bit research on that right now. The very little that I did do told me that there's at least something to much of what Ron presents, so it's might be worth some time investigating further.

If anyone knows the video I'm referring to, please feel free to post it here, since the Xvo is a TC device. Again, I'm not educated enough to comment with any level of validity. But I have invited many who are (educated enough) to comment, via a FB post from early this morning. 12 hours later, not one of them has commented yet.

Another reason why I'm getting a bit concerned. For me, at least right now, nickel ain't happenin'. Subject to change with any conclusive evidence, of course.
