I can't finish that video. He's full of poop and preaches doom and gloom about Ni200 with no facts or studies. All his opinion, and you know what they say about opinions. There are so many points that he tries to make that are absolutely ridiculous. That's why he's a vape shop owner and not a metallurgist or physician.

Many, many people have been using Ni200 for almost a year and how many are complaining about allergic reactions? How many have gone to the emergency room? Don't you think we'd hear about this by now if it was remotely possible? I've been using it for over 8 months almost exclusively and have not had any weird taste or any symptoms of Nickel Carbonyl poisoning. I seriously doubt there's any NiCO4 being produced, if at all, at the temps we vape at. To produce NiCO4, you need Nickel (the wire) and carbon monoxide. If there's carbon monoxide around where you vape, you have far more problems than what your vape gear is doing to you, if you're even conscious.

This guy needs to do some more homework and stop posting ridiculous videos.

I feel as though a YouTube video needs to be made where metallurgists critique and give business advice to Vape Shop owners on how to run their Vape Shops.

This really is an impressive mod, I absolutely love mine. I had a small issue with mine, the plate on the front was a little proud of the mod. Sent a picture to the modder and he apologized and said he would have DHL come to my house and pick it up. I explained that I would have to wait till after vacation, had too much to get through at work before leaving. He had DHL come pick it up from my work. He would have had it back in under two weeks as well but 2 days before I left for vacation he notified me that it was repaired. Fantastic mod, fantastic customer service. If it rings your bell you should find the FB group. :)

Don't need a metallurgist, you need a chemist who understands complex transition material interactions.

The potential problem with nickel isn't from heat alone but the interaction between the Ni2 and diols.

I'm interested to see how this plays out.

And I thought I sprinkled enough sarcasm that time.

Gotta go back and check the recipe.

I got that you were being sarcastic. Just noticed a lot of people were saying that some metallurgist had cleared mickle as safe. That would be like taking neonatology advice from a dentist.

Your joke just reminded me of that.

I don't think anyone "cleared" nickle wire per se, I believe that forum members with metallurgy experience cleared some wild misconceptions about nickle wire (Ni200) that were reposted here from outside sources.

The nickle in Ni200 is granted in higher concentrations than in nichrome but nichrome has been used longer than Kanthal and is still being used by a good percentage of vapers.

Not really concerned. All of the TC wires come with a "at your own risk" kind of thing. I use Ni200 or Ti when playing around with TC, not too worried about either.

Comparing nichrome to Ni200 (99.6% pure) is a false equivalency. Pure Ni has very different property's from NiCrFe.

I would not worry much either as long as you don't have a compromised immune system or lung damage.

Sorry about the OT I'm done.
