Bigger batteries generally have more mah and 21700s are (barely) bigger than 20700s which are bigger than 18560s. The first two numbers are the diameter in mm and the last 3 are the length in mm.

That said the higher drain batteries needed for DL vaping on some mods have less mah than similarly sized batteries with lower drain rates.

  1. As you are probably already well aware, the relationship between amp ratings and capacity mAh ratings generally have a sea saw effect. The higher mAh batteries will generally have a lower amp rating and the higher capacity batteries will generally have a lower amp rating.
  2. My suggestion would be look at Mooch's recommended batteries in the different sizes that you are interested in, and pay close attention to the stated mAh for each battery. Your typical 12 wattage setting is on the low side when considering the importance of the amp rating, so IN YOUR CASE the amp rating is not near as important than if you were vaping at much higher wattages.

Thanks, I have always been a MAH vaper.

Actually, I forgot to consider the 26650s. I think a Dicodes uses one.
As a user of 26650s It’s notable that they have more volume to them than 2x700s but no more power. They are losing popularity atm. I only have them because I have a mod that fits them. 2x700s are the new standard for electric cars so I suspect they have a longer life ahead of them

The first 2 numbers are the diameter in mm, the next 2 are the length in mm, and the last denotes shape '0' for cylindrical I believe.

Unfortunately there are no 26650s made by reputable sources anymore.

If you are sure you will never go over 12-15 Watts for 18650 you can try the Sanyo ga or lg mj1.

For 21700 under 15watts the Samsung 48g has 4800mah.
This I good to know and actually answers a question of mine on another thread! Thx :)

Looking for an all-day battery...3500 mAH in a single battery. Use for MTL.

For a regulated mod at 12 watts, look into the Samsung 40T. 4000mAh and 25+ amp.
Plenty of versatility in case your vaping style changes, and @12 watts in a regulated mod will easily last all day and then some.

They are used in precisely one model of electric car, from one manufacturer (the Tesla Model 3). No other company uses or plans to use cylindrical cells at all. So claiming that they are a "standard for electric cars" is hyperbole.

That said, it seems power tool manufacturers are starting to use them as well.

Agree.
Tool manufacturers are opting for 20700 over 21700 because infrastructure to mass produce is already in place, more so than 21700. So, they're cheaper and more readily available
At the moment anyway.
