That it doesn't have, but I prefer my batt being a batt, and my pt being just that.

Unplug the usb cord from the and it will be just that or the other way around. It works well with my ego. My problem with new battery is that it works either a manual or automatic and that means it isn't sealed.

While I am very proud for all you e cigarette pioneers, and the maxxfusion and the ever lovin ego, my question goes unanswered. I have had several low quality kr batteries, and am in search of a vendor that sells the quality stuff. Authentic kanger batteries, with cartomizers that can be refilled more than once. No v4l, no fresh market selections. I don't want to order from china but I will if I need to. My last batch of cartomizers turned out to be L-Rider in origin, and after they burn the hell out of your lips, they die. After one refill. I need quality, not "Hey man you should check out this new thing..." I want to know who has a battery that is over a year old and still kicking. A cartomizer I can refill 20 times, then clean it and go another 20. Please?

Cartomizers were meant to be used once and thrown away. They have gotten better but you if are looking for a cartomizer that will last 20 refills you may have to wait a few years. Attys may last that long. For kanger batteries you could try:
Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA
Kanger batteries have had their own problems in the past.
If you are looking for a good battery you will have to go to one of the American made mods. I would suggest a variable volt mod.

On my old, original hard-tip cartomizers from eliquidplanet, I could get 15 to 30 refills before needing cleaning, depending on the juice used. Even my old v4l coolcarts I regularly got 20 refills, but due to their liquids tasting like filth I stopped using. I also had alot of battery problems with v4l, and got the runaround when I needed help, which is why I am looking further presently. While I have had good luck with my old 510's and their atomizers, the taste was not there like it is with an 808.

I should warn you the Kangers aren't the same anymore either. Unfortunately with chinese products it' can be crap shoot sometime you get lucky sometimes not. I never got 20 refills from a coolcart but sometimes I got a few before getting a burnt taste. I don't use them anymore. Don't know anything about eliquid planet. I can get 20 from CE2 but I use them differently and they have other problems. I have been using my Xl V4Ls for five months with some minor problems that have been resolved. Luck of the draw.

The best we can really do on this forum is try to steer you away from the worst or grossly overpriced. There are American companies that make good products with quality parts but that isn't cheap and usually not what beginners are looking for.

Traver- you show quite a bit of knowledge here, so let me ask you frankly, what is your most reliable e-cig battery, regardless of style?

There are so many batteries out there I can't possibly answer that question and I have a very limited experience compared to some people. I am assuming you mean the moderately priced Chinese batteries. If you really want to know about batteries read this thread where people who know something discuss them. It's a lot of reading.
ProVape-1 Electronic Cigarette. Buy one today!

For low a price the Joye Ego with a PT and a 2.5 ohm atty or carto.
A 2.4 - 2.6 ohm will give about the the same vape as a 2.8 - 3.0 on a KR808. Most people go around and round about batteries. As far as the vape goes it doesn't matter as long as it can deliver enough power for your needs. All the battery does is deliver power. It is the carto and the juice that determine you vaping experience.
For a mod one of the ProVapes.

A big part of my consideration with a mod is reputation, longevity and to be able to replace the actual battery. Five to ten bucks for a replacement.
The ProVari will be my next battery.
The ProVari will be my next battery.
These may or may not be the best but they are the ones I know well enough to recommend. Next week it may all be different.

Personally I use a 900 Xpower instead of the Ego. Same vape but lasts longer. I don't recommend it to people though because of the odd thread. You have to use an adapter for most of the cartos out there.
