I had a person ask how high a resistance they could go with a genny style rba. I honestly couldn't give them an answer. All I could do was try and explain about the low ohm or even sub ohm coils we build. When I ask him why he wanted to go high ohms (4+). His reply was he liked em.

Guess what I'm asking is "does anyone build high ohm 4+ coils for their RBA. And if so WHY? My highest coil is 2.0 and that's on my ZAP. All the others are around 0.9-1.0 ohms. But I build em for my mechanicals.

BTW he wants to run it on a Tesla.
This just added confusion to an already confused mind.

Your friend evidently isn't aware of the heat sink effect that is inherent in genesis style devices which use hard wicks, such as stainless steel mesh and ceramics. Gennys don't really begin to come into their own until they are being vaped at 10 watts or more. In order to reach 10 watts, with a 4Ω coil, the PV would need to produce about 6.3 volts. This is more than most vv devices are capable of providing.
