I recently got my first rba an aga-t+ and have set up a few wicks and coils on it. for the most part they have been working well as far as flavor and vapor production. my issue is with the resistance, on all the coils Ive made so far the resistance is all over the place. for example when not used overnight and before taking a vape check the resistance it will be very high like over 4 ohms. after i take a vape or two and it heats up it goes back to the normal 1.3 to 1.5 range. Im using a vamo to check the resistance. is this something I am doing wrong when building the coil, or is this normal for an rba. it has been working very well other than the resistance changing.

To me it indicates a problem in your set up.

Are you using stainless steel wicks?

If so and the wick is well oxidized and coiled properly, you shouldn't see these issues.

Now, there has been some recent claims that oxidizing stainless wicks could be a health risk, and you may want to read those threads before proceeding.

Thanks for the reply. I have been following that thread as well, but yes i am using a ss wick. so you think the issue is that the wick is not oxidized fully then. guess ill try some more wicks and see if the issue goes away. Thanks for the quick response.

No problem and good luck.

It is also possible the VAMO is giving bad readings, but my guess is set up.
