Peoples' nerves seem frayed these days on the board.

I participate on a financial site and when the market is consistently down people get touchy and ornery.

But what's going on here?

Do you think all the Sellers have reduced the nicotine levels in our juices and cartridges?

Any astrologists, clairvoyants or psychics here that can give us a reading?

could be that some of the longer term members are getting restless and bored...i know i am...

maybe its because theres not that much more left to say about this generation of ecigs that hasnt been said and speculated about on this forum in one way or another a hundred times...

i think we need something new to discuss, whether information or hardware, but there isnt any forthcoming-nothing very exciting anyway...problem is,everything ecig related---product development and study-wise,moves so slowly.

we keep waiting for some kind of breakthrough,or some radical improvement,or some meaningful definitive information...but nothings happening at the moment.

I belong to a board and they have a thread called: "the heated exchange room"
People can take their frustrations out, sometimes it's fierce, but after a while it can get very funny.

It might be helpful.
Not everyone sees eye to eye, different opinions, different personalities.

And yes, for the "old timers" there's not much news, been there, done that.

Just waiting for the next new miracle.

Hmmmmm

For those of us who live in the Uk it could be the fact that we haven't had much of a summer (or any at all yet come to think of it....) well documented fact, no sun = increased depression, increased irritability etc.....certainly a bit of that going round it would seem;).

Just my humble opinion but certainly if it was warmer (or warm) I would be outside with large glass of wine and e-cig and not inside at computer thinking that it feels like ....*y winter and wondering if I could move somewhere where the sun actually shines once in a wee while....

Every board I've ever been on seems to go through periods of tension and bickering. It seems to come in unpredictable waves. Hey, at least this board doesn't seem to get the total trolls that seem to frequent so many other boards. Knock on wood. ;)
Really? I'm not that familiar with the phenomena.

However, be aware some of us have split personalities.

We do get weary, and cranky. But new things can be discovered daily with the group think/experience of forum members. I'm fascinated by several threads now. But, yes, it is very frustrating to see Page One loaded with "I got my ecig!" and "lookatme" posts while the meaningful threads and contributions of a day or two ago disappear into the ether of page 2 and beyond. So, yes, that can lead to frustration.

The WAY something is said is important in this discussion. It's okay to criticize an idea or opinion, with stated reasons for the disagreement, but quite another to criticize a person, or call that person names. That leads to nasty retorts and seemingly endless bickering.

I find this forum immensely useful. One person's flawed idea can spawn a new direction of thought. In the end, that's very helpful.

When I used to buy a book on a subject about which I was near-expert, I'd tell the seller, "If I learn one new thing from this book, it will have been worthwhile." Same for the forum posts. Bickering and all, I hope to learn one new thing each day.

If it's necessary to skip over the anger to find a meaningful post .. well, I guess that's the price of writing in a forum open to all.

I might be a little sensitive today...had some very disturbing news, but no excuse to take it out here, that's for sure.

Plus, I'm typing with a splint on my right hand because of freakin' bone spurs and a ganglion cyst. And it kinda hurts...but reading and writing is keeping my mind off the pain. I'm just reading and writing very slowly.

So I think I need to ignore the snarks and read the good stuff. My apologies y'all.

No heated exchange room for this cartoon!

That's a sure way to turn people with a common interest into separatists for Obama or McCain, fundamental Christianity or atheism, healthy diet or chemical killers in our food.

No thanks.

OMG no. I'm with ya on that. That's one reason why I dropped my previous forums. It's an ELECTION year.

I love this forum.

I've been "not so nice" in the past, but no more.
Like Bob said, just skip over them.

We all have our good and bad days.
Some posters sometimes bug me, but I let it go.

And yes, I do get cranky, have not smoked a real ciggy for 31 hours, thanks to Bob.

I'm hanging in there.

As I said I love this forum, I have learned a lot, am still learning, had to laugh at some postings.

Name calling is a big no no, debate/criticize the post not the poster.

Simple rules.

When it gets nasty, it's not fun anymore.

Do you guys get daily updates from google or yahoo? I have "electronic cigarette" in my daily google news updates sent to my email. Sometimes I hit on a story, sometimes I don't.

Might be able to find new things to discuss that way. That's how I hit on the Nicotine and memory story just recently among others.

Luffy, where have you been for the last few days? The weather has been divine. My head has gone red like a lobster and I was only out for a bit on Saturday.

Make the most of it while you can! I live up north so it must be pretty nice in South Wales!

Remember, these few days of Summer that we're getting now may well have to last us a year until we get it again! (touch wood).
