Another noob question for you all . . .

I picked up an Evic VT thanks to recommendations here. Didn't really care for the tank so got an Atlantis tank and a Vaporshark TC coil from my local shop (and yeah, paid too much but I wanted it now!). Started vaping the Chocolate Mousse from Charlie Noble and OMG freaking amazing but NOT an all day vape, even for chocoholic me - tastes intensely cocoa cheesecakey, or something.

Anyway, this is my first foray into TC but also my first experience with sub ohm, so I'm pretty much blown away.

Shop guy, knowing all this but also my flavor profile, says next time I need to get some Max VG of a liquid that's already a flavorite of mine. First shop I used (that I don't go to anymore) had told me Max VG was only for drippers, but this one says it's fine for sub ohm. Which is so?

you can always go to Walmart and get a bottle of Glycerne and try it in your tank and see if it will wick fast enough to keep up with your vaping style and

frequency of your draws----------not too many draws in a row the wick may keep up with you.....and stay wet ---it takes some experimentation--trial and error

Lots of error---hahahahahahahah

vg wicks more slowly than pg

if you don't chain vape at high power you might not notice a difference in wicking.

with a dripper since you are dripping directly, you don't have to wait for the vg to wick.

Thanks all. I tend to chain vape, which is why I was wanting TC, to protect my gear from me. So Max VG probably isn't a good fit for me, at least at this point.

The one shop owner saying max VG is for dripping is correct. I'm about in the same boat as you. I just got my first TC mod, IPV 4S the other day. I also have some nickel coils on order from Slowtech, should be here by Christmas  Anyhoo, I had some max VG a friend gave me to try out with my Kanger tank and the wicking was awfully slow. I tend to chain vape in spurts and when I fueled up my tank and started vaping, on the third draw I got one of those nasty dry hits that choked the heck outta me.

So yeah, max VG for dripping, 70% VG for TC mods.

Idk man. I use 4 different kanger subtanks. I've used 90vg, which is max vg, with no issues at all. I generally go 70 vg if I have the option though. You'd be surprised what tanks can handle nowadays.

I just looked up the liquid . . . Deadly Sin by Good Life Vapor . . . it's in the Nebbia Line which they say on their site is 70% VG - I'm guessing the % VG depends on what the vendor wants. So I should be able to use it with no problem, right? I was pretty happy at the thought of it, since I love it in a Nautilus at 13W, I figured I'd lose my mind in a TC tank.

A little trick I use with my Atlantis is to unscrew the tank from the base back & forth. You will see bubbles coming up from the juice holes.
I go as high as 90 VG but its difficult to chain vape... So I use two mods .
The only other thing I've noticed is that coils gunk up a little faster with high VG.
BTW make sure to use v2 coils, they have bigger wicking holes.

I was just in a brick and morter vape shop the other day and a customer said to the salesperson that his clearomizer did not wick rite and the salesperson

said well you have to BURP it. And so he unscrewed the base a little until air bubbles moved up and then screwed it back on tite.

This is like your trick with your Atlantis---when I read your post I recalled the visit that I had.

I run 20/80 in my Lemo 2s when they are coiled subohm-- they usually are-- and wick rayon. I honestly don't have a problem. I've been wondering why, too; I have been told many times I'd have to mod the tank to open the juice channel. So, I was ready for it-- my middle name is Dremel Tool-- but it hasn't happened. Go figure, right?

I didn't realize they had a name for it.... Now I know.
Definitely works, in fact I never tighten the tank down and its never leaked.
