Hi My name is Sandy and I ordered a Saber Touch Pink Spakle Hope Edition - VariVolt

I am fairly new to vaping....last cig was Dec 1st.......very excited about trying out high volt vaping, but I have a few question if anyone can help me out I would so much appreciate it.

Two minutes after I order my Saber I went to Mapvapes and ordered batteries....ect. Here is where I get lost with the cartomizers...atomizers ect. Can anyone tell me the best (ultimate) vaping experience with the carts I list at what voltage I should use?

1. 510 5 ohm
2. 510 2.5 ohm
3. 510 LR atomizer
4. 510 regular atomizer

Also what kind of juice is best for higher voltage? I curently have 510....and mini REO mod which is 3.7 vaping and I love it....but have not fully understood the different levels yet. I would so much appreciate some insight so I can experience the best vaping possible.... Thanks!!!!!

Hi free2live,

A good equation to know is Watts = Volts*Volts/ohms. Watts are the unit of power, essentially the heat created by a particular atty on a particular working voltage. Your Reo, I believe, is actually generating a working 3.2 volts, not a full 3.7V (someone can correct me). If you are using a standard Joye atty, which is about 2.5 ohms, then the power is about 4 watts. This is generally considered at the weak end. Dial your VV up to 5V, and now you are vaping at 10 watts with that atty, which is in the "sweet spot" range for many here. If you use a 5 ohm atty at 5V, this will have 5 watts of power. So this will allow you to start gauging your vaping a bit more accurately.

I personally like around 8 watts myself, but that is a personal preference. I have 3.3 ohm cartos (Boges) on 5V is a very nice vaping experience. However, the new E2 cartos, which are about 3.2 ohms, are actually WAY too hot on 5V, and I am actually enjoying my old regular 510 mega batts again with these cartos. So power is a rough gauge, but there is also the influence of the actual atty/carto you use. Bottom line is play around until you find what you like. With respect to attys only, I personally would have more 2.5 ohm attys, but maybe try one each of the other resistances too.

Oh, and an LR atty, which may be as low as about 1.6 ohms, is going to be WAY too hot at higher voltage, and will likely not survive long before it fries out. Greater than 12W is really hard on attys, and they tend to fry...in fact LR attys in general do not last long. I have found that while I've tried others, I always come back to the original Joyes, but then I do not go higher than 5V.

Have fun and good luck!
