A friend came over last night with a DNA style mod. The Wattage went up to 60W. The guy who sold it to him said his carto tanks wouldn't work well. I didn't quite understand why as lomng as you keep the wattage low enough. Well, I put my carto tank on it, and it blew my carto.

I'm getting sickof carto tanks, and am looking for a new mod. What would you top one of these high wattage mods with? Probably a RBA? Considering a Kayfun v4. Sound like a plan?

Both my friend and I are coming from Vamo's.

Heat makes vapor. Too much heat burns liquid. Liquid supply and air flow keep heat lower. A device must balance all of these. More coils and thicker wire give more area and more vapor. But that takes more battery power. And more air flow.

RBA you build your coil or coils, put in wick, drip liquid through the tip hole, vape until it starts to taste dry/bad, drip some more.

RTA has a tank full of liquid that feeds the wick instead of dripping.

This forum is full of opinions on what to do, what to buy and the opposite opinion.

Depends on how much you want to spend to find what works for you.

I generally only use 20-50W for dual coil RBAs. For the Kayfun4 in single coil mode, a 20W device would work. However, having that extra power would be nice if you want to run drippers or something like the Orchid, Aquav2 or Billow. Of course you can those on mechs, but you do without the safety features a regulated mod provides.

Even though I haven't vaped past 50W, I have a Sigelei 100W. Its reliable, a good vaue and with 2 batteries lasts a long time between charges. If there's a power outaage, it will be the last mod standing :D
