Higher nic = harsher taste?

Does anyone else notice this? I normally vape 18mg, but I have a 24mg juice for those moments when I feel the need for something stronger. Over the months, I've noticed that the 24mg juices always taste harsher. I've tried different flavorings but it doesn't change much. And no, it's not my attys. I have 5 which I use in rotation and they're always fine with the 18mg juices.

So I'm just wondering if nicotine has a taste? I mean, I'm sure it does, but is it adding more 'roughness'?

Yes... harshness is increased at higher nic. Also, nicotine has a slight, IDK, turpentine-like taste.

I have definitely noticed a harsher taster with the stronger nic. I accidently ordered some 30mg maxboro. Had to order some 12mg to mix with it and cut it down to about 22mg.

Thanks for the replies. At least I know it's not just my fevered imagination - lol.

I have some vape Wizard from FlavourArt which supposedly mellows flavors. I must try that with higher nic juices and see if it helps. It's not really an issue, but I could use a bit more smoothness.
