That is 135mm long and he has only 99mm. Also has to leave room for the 510 connecter. Even your second choice is too long after wiring it will be over 100mm.

LOL I forgot we were talking about his mod. I was actually hoping to get some advice on mine. I ended up going with 2 Sony US18650VTC4 2100mAh Li-Ion Rechargeable High Drain Battery 30A at least for development.

What I really wanted was maybe 2 Turnigy 2200mAh 1S 40C Lipoly (Single Cell) (USA Warehouse) but.... on back order and I didn't feel like tearing apart assembled cells to get one.

Thanks for everything

Depending on your enclosure and vv or VW device you are using that may be perfect for you. But without further details on your mod that's all I can give you.

Well I got a dna 30 coming this week (it has shipped YAY!!!) and one of the evolv charger boards. (bought em in a kit). I was thinking I would use this for a box

The flat cell was thin enough I could have gotten two in that box but not the sony battery. It would take some real chopping to get two of them in there lol in fact I don't think it is possible. I just got the second for a backup.

A little hobby paint and a lot of modification inside and I can get that battery to fit I think. but it is going to be that way with anything that will power the dna I think....

I currently don't use anything with super low ohms but I was thinking it might be nice to be able to use the stuff in the .5-3 ohm range.

How were you alerted to their availability? Did you just happen to stop by the site when they have some? It's. Little frustrating to me that I have no idea how frequently they come out with more , how many they sell at a time, etc.

Weeeellllll um I didn't get em from evolve that was precisely my problem I scoured the internet and asked in a different thread on here and someone suggested a site I had already dismissed. To be honest I felt like they were charging too much but I wanted + they weren't available = I paid what I had to and got one. This is the site I got em from DIY PARTS / KITS - A to Z Vapor World . They might still have some if you hurry :) They are in AZ. good luck

:vapor:

They are only 45 from evolv if you can catch em when they got em in. I sent them a message asking when they would have more and they told me to follow them on twitter. They haven't posted anything about it since it came out in january. :(

I think you meant charging board correct? And I beleave they are $5-7. I can't remember exactly, but it's in that range. You can find one cheaper on ebay - 2pcs 1A Lithium Battery Charging Board 5V Micro USB Charger Module | eBay Plus the ones on bear are 1A opposed to the evolv which are 500ma. The difference between the two, is that the 1A charges faster but the evolv is smaller. And as far as the lipo batteries there are two smaller ones, one is 1000mah and the other is 750mah. I think the other smaller ones they have won't be sufficient for the dna30.

In my last post I forgot to add the quote, so this is it. My bad.

I was actually thinking of this one for my project. I think it will just fit if I use the dremel on it. or would I be better off going with 18650's? https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18559__Turnigy_2200mAh_1S_40C_Lipoly_Single_Cell_.html

Honestly, the only reason I didn't go with 2x18650 batteries was because my box is really inconvenient to open, it would have been a disaster. I think if it would be easily accessible, I would go with that. Purely a opinion though, I would say go with what you like best on this one.

If you have the room for the two 18650's, just hook up the charging board to them and you won't need to open it again until the batteries go bad. Just a thought.

No I am gonna have to hack to get in one the second is a spare. I am going to try to figure out how to be able to easily change out the battery.
