Lately Ive been chain vaping at about a 30-36mg, I went to the Dr today and my blood presure was 150/97. I have never had high blood presure before in my life and the only thing that has changed in the last 6months is I've stopped smoking and started vaping. As of late I've been chain vaping too and at this high MG. I didnt tell the Dr and probably should have, anybody have any first hand knowledge if this could have risen my BP..??8-o Thanks

Mine's gone up a bit 122/84 when I'm usually 109/68. I'm switching to VG soon because I've been getting some shortness of breath issues from(I think) the PG. Thinning out with VG will drop the nicotine down from 36, so that may alleviate both problems. When I'm up on cash next week, I'm going to order noting but VG liquid.

I'm still trying to figure out why you wouldn't tell you doctor about it?... oh well.

I've been vaping for about 3 weeks now. Haven't had an analog since I opened the box my pv came in. Now I've got different flavors, a mod, pt, tried different attys AND I've been pretty much chain vaping the entire time. For one I like it so much and second because I can do it anywhere. My office at work, in the house at home instead of only under the kitchen stove exhaust fan, in bed, etc. Right about 26-30mg keeps me just slightly buzzed ALL the time instead of periodically when I smoked a cigarette (just about 1 pack a day). I can imagine that I'm getting more nicotine. If not instantaneously then simply because it's constant.

Yeesh, bounce it off your doctor.

I left the e-ciggie alone from the time I posted, yesterday. BP is back to 113/68 and the shortness of breath has improved as well. Oddly, I really don't have much of a craving for the e-cig or and analog, right now. I think I'll get some VG today and cut my liquid.

Keep us posted on switching to VG. Would be interesting to hear if it helped your bp??

Okay, I had a wake to play bagpipes at today. On the way, I stopped and got VG but couldn't start using it until I got home. I took my e-cig intending to use it sparingly, but ended up chain vaping. When I got home, the BP was pretty scary. I left the e-cig alone for a couple of hours and mixed up a batch of VG cutting my 36mg in half. The flavor still carries. My chest is starting to breath easier and I just took my BP on two different machines 116/74 & 113/80. Whichever I changed, it seems to be making a difference. Not seeming to miss the extra nicotine and the flavor still carries pretty well.

Nicotine has been linked to heart disease, can boost your pulse and your pressure. Depending on how much you're vaping compared to how much you smoked, you could be getting more nicotine than when you were smoking standards. And from personal experience, I can tell you that some people have a higher sensitivity to nicotine than others. I only smoked about 5 a day, and still my pulse was averaging around 110 BPM resting. Now it's around 70, and my BP is back to its lower than average level. And no, my lifestyle hasn't changed much.

We tend to ignore it, but nicotine ain't exactly good for us.

Well, since switching to VG, the breathing has gotten much better and the blood pressure has pretty much returned to normal. Last night 106/67. Today 111/72. I still don't know if reducing the nic mg by half was a big part or not, but I'm not craving it in any greater amount. The other good part is that the bottles of e-juice I'd just bought at 36mg have just been doubled. A bit weaker flavor, but still nice. And my heart isn't pounding bruises on my ribs.
