Hmmmm, do I make the switch?

Do the dual could just not work on them or does it do the automatic set back thing cause I have ALOT of dual coils lol

Neither. Dual coils work up until it reaches the built in limits; if you try to vape above the limits, it displays E1 and doesn't fire, letting you know. Lavatubes do the "automatic set back thing", not the ProVari.

Basically, assuming a 1.5 Ohm dual-coil, that would mean a limit of 4.6V (wattage limiter is set to 14.5W).

See this document - http://www.provape.com/v/images/ProVariV1vsV2.pdf

That said, I see Phil Busardo was able to get 5V with a 1.5V carto... Check it out http://www.tasteyourjuice.com/topsecret/wordpress/2012/02/28/714/

To make it perfectly clear, that means each coil on the dual-coil gets ~7.25W which, for a dual-coil, isn't bad at all. However, I for one don't see any reason to use a dual-coil anyway, but some people like it.

I had the V2 starter kit and just got my new Buzz Pro. I knew it would improve the experience, but had no idea how much. It was like switching from water to champagne. The taste is so much better and the throat hit is just incredible. Im sure the provari is the same way. I liked the starter kit enough to stay away from cigarettes, but the VV made me never want to smoke again. I have loved every aspect of it. Im sure the Provari will do that for you too.

Dual coils are best at high voltages (5V and above) for them to perform their best. As for a ProVari, you're better off getting it than the lavatube. Or...better yet...a VMax...5 amp and can run anything. It all boils down too...do you want American made, China made, or does it matter to you? The VMax takes 2 x 18350 batteries stacked versus the ProVari with a single cell. I have all of these models and the LT falls way short of ever buying one again.

I don't know why he suggests VMax, but since you asked about dual-coils, the point is VMax has higher limits. I don;t know about reputation - just that it is a Chinese combined knock-off of the ProVari and Buzz Pro all in one :)

In any event, ProVari mini vs. standard is matter of your preference, strictly.

If I'm ALMOST happy with the battery life of my 650 mah ego (lasts little more then half a day) should I get the mini.

If it was based STRICTLY on size obviously I'd say the mini. But I don't wanna get the mini and the battery be ehh and wish I got the provari v2

Not really... The mAh is a tad misleading. It is not like the capacity of a reservoir, the total vape time also varies with the type of battery (the gruesome C-rating) and with the drain.

Anyway, my 1100 mAh KGO lasted me ~5 hours of intense vaping at it's fixed ~3.7 V, while the 18490 on the ProVari (still 1100 mAh) lasts me 6-8 hours of vaping at 4.3-4.8 V.

I can go around with it in my pocket (regular ProVari)... Also in the chest pocket of my coat.

Let's put it this way: it's three regular Boge carto lengths in length, and ~1/3 of one in width (ProVari regular with extender cap). When I say carto length, I mean the whole thing, including the threaded connector.

I guess I got over the size thing a while back. I run a DCT-V1 6ml tank on my LT at that with the biggest drip tip I could find. I can still rock it in my pocket, and with the drip tip off it fits in an ego case just fine. And speaking of dual coils, my LT does not seem to have to much problem pushing them if I am judging it by TH, etc. The thing I plan on doing is buying an inline meter so I can truly see where it is at under load. But I did make sure to get the SR carto's with the DCT's, rather than the LR's. So maybe that is why I am not seeming to have too much trouble with it? The Provari is a great device, and had I had the money I would had purchased it instead. Speaking of size, I would personally go with the V2 cause I like the idea of knowing that without a doubt my battery will last damn near all day.
