Lol, prob is when I see one sell or being traded I immediately start thinking what was it they didn't like, what could I have done differently to make it better for them.

I guess that will just keep me trying to improve.

Everyone tried to reassure you about mods and their owners. Sometimes it is easier to see things when approaching from a different perspective. When you see someone sell or trade their Hog, don't think about vaporizers, think about cars.

Lamborghinis are universally raved about, but some people would rather have a Mustang. Personally, if I ever got a Lambo I would drive it a bit--and then I would trade it in on a few cars I would much rather have. *

Not every car is for everyone, and it's not a statement on quality but "taste."

:)

* Although if I ever got a '69 or '70 XKE i would have one h3ll of a dilemma over whether to keep it intact of bring it to your house with a copy of Harold and Maude...

yeah everyone come on over I can wear my cool costume I made! You'll never guess what I am!
I know... I have issues
Can ya believe the judges wouldn't let me on stage for the exotic zone ball? The crowd was ...... I wasn't allowed up.

I couldn't bring myself to hit the "like" button because I am too worried about what other people think of me.

But I would wear that to a party...

By the way, it's much better than a costume I helped make for a friend. It was one even I wouldn't wear. No pictures, but it was very flexible, very wrinkley, and left a trail wherever he walked.

Edit: After re-reading that I realize I need to perhaps clarify a bit: it originally would have been purchased in a square plastic wrapper.

Mike, I sent you a pm earlier. Please ignore it. I have read about 100 pages here, and I'm still a bit confused about how to get a Hogmod.

I'd really love a VV with an inlay, they take 18350's, right? Are all Hogmods bottom feeders, 'cuz I don't do bottom feeders, at least, not yet... Are they Evercools? I'm ready to give you some money!

Sorry my4jewels,
I have been just posting the mods I have made up here when they are done and first PM got it.
I just started taking requests for mods in small batches. I should be ready for new requests in about 2 weeks.
the chip I use is 3A Adjustable step down switching voltage regulator

Here's the rough requesting process...
After the above batch is sold I will start taking requests for mods. When a request is made it will be logged down and you will be able to choose...
1. Type of wood for body
2. Type of wood for caps and inlay
3. 3.7v using 18650 batt and 6ml bottle $110 OR VV using 18350 batts and 6ml bottle $160
4. Gloss or Matte Arm-R-Seal finish (best protection), Tung Oil finish, Danish Oil finish, Boiled Linseed Oil finish, or Teak Oil finish
5. Choice of LED bottle illumination. Choices are White, Blue, Red, Purple, Green, Yellow, and No LED

When a request for a mod is made It will go into a journal of mods to make in what order and I will do my best to get it made in a timely fashion. Understand that the list might get long and "Timely" might mean it might take quite a bit of time.
When the requested Mod is finished I will contact the person that has requested the Mod and they will have 3 days to Pay for the mod so that it can be shipped. If payment is not made within those 3 days the Mod will be offered up to first come, first serve on the forum.
I will try to keep the mods coming out in order of of requests but please understand that if I have wood on hand to finish someones mod request that was placed after yours but I'm still waiting on your wood to ship, theirs will most likely be done first.
I will post a list of wood I currently have access to locally before I start taking requests. If the wood you desire is difficult to obtain or quite a bit more costly than the exotics I have available locally, the cost of your mod might slightly increase in price or require a deposit to obtain your wood. This will be discussed with you after your request has been made and I can locate your desired wood.

Thanks so much for that explanation of the "procedure". There was one thing you didn't answer, though. Or maybe you did.
Is it possible to do a VV mod that is not a bottom feeder. I love your mods, but I don't think I'd do well with a bottom feeder since I absolutely hate dripping. I have lately become a "tank girl".

Sadly yes, I know its not the answer everyone wants to hear. But I'm just one man who's regular job demands much out of me. I make the mods after work and on weekends when I can find the time as a hobby.
I wish I had more time to devote to keep up with the demand. And that might change in the near future. Currently contemplating packing up and moving away from this demanding high stress life and moving out to Tennesse where my brothers at.
My wife and kids are pushing for it, but man to give up everything for a gamble on the unknown...

I completely understand. I have my own "one person" business, and, at times, it's hard to juggle everything. We dropped everything in 1989, and moved from R.I. to Maine. We just knew we had to get out of the rat race. My husband hated his job, the schools weren't great, and the crime rate was scary. At the time, we had 4 children, ages 5 thru 12. When we decided to move, Hubby had no job, we didn't have a house up here, yadda, yadda, yadda...nothing.

Well, we put our house up for sale and got our asking price within 3 days! Lots of amazing things happened, but, long story short, we closed on our home in R.I. in the morning and closed on our home in Maine that afternoon. Hubby still didn't have a job, though, so he stayed with his parents in R.I. It took 3 months, but he's got a great job up here, and it's the best thing we ever did.

I wish you the best!! I have a daughter who has lived in Johnson City, TN for about 10 years, and recently moved to Knoxville. She loves it in TN..

Well, when you're ready for the next batch, I'm gonna want 2, maybe 3 of the VV model. I don't know if you're keeping a waiting list or not. I'll keep my eye on the thread as well.

I know I'm gonna love these!!! :hubba:
