The great State of Texas
I guess I'm just spoiled that my first bottom feeder is a Hog. I read the threads about people not liking bottomfeeders and I havent had any of the issues they describe. I've had my Hog what? Six weeks, and it's never leaked a drop. I carry it everywhere and have had zero issues, period! I look at his thing and can't think of a thing I'd improve. I'm serious, If Mike had a contest asking for suggestions to improve the Hog I'd not be able to enter!

Oh My!! Mike bottom row 2nd from the rt. The darker one, What wood combo is that? I think I'm in love!!
If I can get my daughters tuition paid off and she will quit wrecking into things I'll need that for my VV!

That one is Wenge with Hormigo Negro caps and inlays.
Those 8 on the 2 bottom rows and that upper left side row are just random combos I tossed together. Those will be general forum sales.

I don't own a Hog yet, but I too love that one (Wenge with Hormigo Negro caps and inlays)! When you post for the general forum sale, is it first PM gets 1st choice or?

This is all B's fault by the way...LOL!!

He has been putting up the pic of the mod and it's number...first pm with the mod number gets that number...that's how it's been done in the past, think he's still doing the general sales that way. :)

You love me, you know you do. :D

So...tell us...how hard was this wood to work with? Are you willing to work with it again?

It's really not that much more difficult to work with but it kind of acts like a soft plastic when machining. It likes to chip out.
I will make mods for people from it if they purchase it and send it to me when I take requests.
Those burls vary so greatly and you could end up with a big void in a block thats difficult or impossible to work with. The buyer for that mod sent me enough to make 2 mods just in case and its a good thing he did because one block had a big void that would have landed on the top corner of the body or door.
I believe a block big enough to make a hog is around $35 + shipping. If I were just making these to sell, it would be around $160 for a 3.7v mod just to cover any accidents or damages during the tooling process.
Perferably I would just rather people supply their own blocks so we dont get into any "hey this isnt the color or pattern I thought I was getting"
And be warned, as careful as I try to be, accidents happen and if you choose to go with Staburl I will not be held liable for a block that did not make it through the tooling process.

Lol, I think that anyone that has dealt with me should know I try to be a very honest straight forward guy. So I dont think anyone should have to worry about me telling them their block didn't make it then finding a strangely familiar looking Staburl mod up for sale the following week.

I can't wait to pick out the wood combo for my VV non-feeder. I'm getting desperate for one of these hoggies!!! How long must I wait? :( Bwa haha...

I didn't realize he was going to do a VV non-feeder...hmmm...that sounds even better to me. I may just have to copy you on that one my4jewels. :)

Well, Mike said he'd make a couple for me in post #2628. Just have to wait until he opens it up for requests... I'm a diehard carto tank girl, as you well know, and I'm set for a good long while like this. This just isn't the time for me to try a bottomfeeder.

Would be great for tanks. ;) I just need a 3.7v one that doesn't feed, I put the 1.7ohm cartos in my tanks and they rock with the 18650 battery. :D Jon said there won't be any Copper Haze in this next batch of his tanks. :( I'm holding out for that one...gonna look FANTASTIC on my non-feeding Hog!!
