I got #4 today and it looks brand new. I put a 306 LR atty on it and it wouldn't fire. Tried another and it wouldn't fire. Tried another and it wouldn't fire. These 3 attys came off other mods so I know they're good. I then put a 510-510 adapter on and it fires but everything tastes burnt since it doesn't like to squonk that far. I mentioned before how hard #42 was to squonk but this makes it tougher.
It's a bummer because I thought maybe this would be my work mod but with the adapter it makes it that much tougher to carry without breaking.

I just tried 2 good 510 attys and they don't work. The only way it works is with an adapter. What gives? I'm going to try pushing the feed needle up and see if that helps make a connection.

It would have to be a center pin issue, wouldn't it? Have you tried adjusting one to fit?

I never did such a thing. The tube doesn't move.

See if pulling the center pin slightly on the atty will allow it to make contact & fire.

from what I hear, the mings are awesome. I just haven't been able to get one yet.
