Every Xmas is my best Christmas. One of my favorite memories though is when we would go out to cut down our Christmas tree with some years taking longer than others to find that perfect tree. Even though it has been more years than I care to remember since we did this, those trees were far more beautiful than any of the artificial ones since.

The best Christmas I can remember was when our son was about 5. It was at an age where he lit up with every gift. I recall him opening a large stuffed Felix the Cat, and he was the happiest kid in the world. He giggled and laughed. He was just such a happy little boy.

Guess he's not the only one who likes Felix.

That's funny... I have some pants and sunglasses just like that... icon_cheesygrin.gif (even the earrings look familiar - ha!!)

One of my fondest Christmas memories was back when I was in the Navy. One year I told my family that I was not going to be able to make it home for Christmas. Little did they know that I already had my plane ticket and a rental car set to go. I arrived at the Dallas FtWorth airport Christmas Eve and got the rental car. Drove an hour north and parked outside my sisters house. I called them from outside the house to wish them a Merry Christmas and after they told me how much they wished I could be there to see my 8 month old nieces first Christmas (who I had only seen in pictures) I told them "Well you might as well let me in then so I won't miss it". One of the best moments that I will always remember and treasure.
