So, I was so excited to finally find a peanut butter cookie juice that knocks my socks off. As I was trying it the first time in an old CE2 clearo, the tube suddenly cracked. Not a hairline crack, but CRACKED. Okay, I figured I must have knocked it into something.

Hours later, I open a brand new clearo and load it up with p.b. cookie. Within minutes of vaping it my drip tip fell out. I thought maybe I hadn't put it in all the way, so went to re-insert it. Erm... the clearo basically disintegrated in my hand!!!

I've heard of cinnamon based juices messing with attys and such, but disintegrating plastic???

I'm vaping it right now in a metal CE2. I hope my lungs are safe from this juice, because it's incredible!!!

first of all- where did you get the juice and what kind is it? every one I get tastes like a peanut burp.

And I have noticed that my clearo's crack/break easily with my cinnibomb in them- which is sad- I only vape it to go to bed- and its SOOOOO good on a riva- I hate to have to go back to 510's with it. :(

Isn't the same thing going to happen with the BD tubes?

Don't throw the innards away. Get yourself some BD 3ml syringes and cut yourself a tube. Only BD works with the clearo's. Amazon has them for around $25 shipping for 100. I had the same problem with some of my juices....I modded with new tubes so no biggie.

It's Peanut Butter Cookie from The Vapor Room and let me tell you... it's GOOD. I've tried so many other peanut butter flavors and they were so boring. THIS stuff is good!

The BD tubes are much thicker plastic and probably of a different kind. I haven't done it myself so I cant say for sure. But I do hate how fragile the clearo's tubes are. I've yet to actually vape one out, the first failure every time is the tube. Ill just see a puddle on my desk and find a hairline crack on the tube to be the culprit. I have the guts of about 7 or 8 clearos in my box now. I need to order some BD syringes to put them back to use.

I just had my first "Holy crap" experience with a clearo. I have been using madvapes wintergreen for a while and I wanted a little more kick, so I got some Lorann wintergreen flavoring and added it. First I used it on a metal ce2 and it was awesome for about 3ml. Then it gunked up, and I had to dry burn it so much that it scorched the wick.

Next I tried it on a ce2 that I didn't care much about. DAMN THING MELTED THE PLASTIC! It didn't crack, it disintegrated! There has to be some kind of happy median because the lorann wintergreen is SOOOO good.

I have had flavors that cracked clearos before, but this was like taking a lighter to a plastic toy, thing just melted.

Nope, all my G4s went in the trash the same day I received them. And I think I figured something out. I think the vendor mixed up the labels between cinnamon danish swirl and peanut butter cookie...

Do you have any G4 carto's? I'd be interested to see if that Peanut Butter flavor does the same thing to the G4's plastic.

But yeah, if it did that to the clearo's, I wouldn't be vaping it.

not possible to scorch a wick bro, I hold a butane torch to mine to clean them. Been doing it for months. What you saw is gunk buildup, not "burnt" wick. That gunk build up does make the wicks brittle depending on how bad it is, the key, is to not let it get to that point, just clean it more often.

Well I already pitched it, but I rinsed, burned, rinsed and burned again, and when I refiled it it tasted like it had been left in a campfire for an hour.

Nope, BD tubes are thicker and medical grade. They are very durable, easy to mod and reusable from carto to carto. I use a little food grade sealant around the base with them just to smooth out the base ridges for protection but I haven't had one leak either way. I get them local for .25 each but if you want to order in bulk you can get them for a little less.

The only negative with them is for Ego and Riva users. The outer diameter is slightly bigger so the cone won't fit over them however the cone can be modded to work if one wanted to do that.

I just cant be bothered to use clearos anymore. I bought a 5 pack and all of them were a pain to fil and at one point they all cracked. I don't know if it's just my big clumsy hands or what not but I stopped spending money on stuff that won't work for me and clearos have been nothing but a pain IMO.

Thickness plays a Very small roll of whether a carto tubes cracks in the pressence of certain chemicals. The material
is the biggest factor.

The reason that BD syringes don't crack is because they are made from Polypropylene.

Hey all I will confirm it is what the plastic is made of and not the thickness. I filled a new MAP tank (very thick) with some new wintergreen and a couple hours later it was all cracked and filmy white. Tried the same liquid in a clearamiser and same thing.

I'm more concerned about what they are using for flavoring that is melting plastic? We can rule out pg vg and nic, so it must be something else. I think if your liquid melts plastic don't vape it. Since this is not a regulated industry, we have to be extra careful. I wish eliquid suppliers would list all the ingredience on there liquid so we know everything that is in it. They are not liquifying peanut butter cookies and putting them in there, so what are they doing to get that taste?

You might not be so quick to rule out VG and Nicotine. But a more likely culprit is probably Alcohols.

It's been long time since I was in a Chemistry class but I believe that the formation of Esters is what's causing the cracking in some plastics.

This is why I'll never but any more of the failomizers. Every juice I had leaked and resulted in cracks; every single one of them. The tank mods helped save on my investment, but I don't need the hassle. They do clean-up very nicely in an ultra-sonic cleaner. That's about the only positive thing I can say about them.
