I got tired of trying to find a stand I liked or that had the holes I would need, and If I did they were out of my price range. So I made my own. What kind of stands did you come up with for your needs? Just curious to see others creativity.
If there is already a thread on this, sorry I couldn't find it.

This is what I came up with.

Very nice all. Getting my brain working for something like this....Unfortunately, I suck at this kind of stuff.

I am not much at this kind of thing either, first time trying it actually. I'm sure yours will turn out well. One thing I have taken away from this is be patient, specially when it comes to sanding and the drying time on the lacquers and polys, I kept wanting to get in there and put on the next coat. Let us know how it goes.

Nice I love it!!

I have to carry my mods back and forth between the kitchen and bedroom so I made this:

The handle make it really convenient to grab and go.

It looks good from a distance :p up close it's kind of rough. I'm a terrible carpenter and did it all with hand tools.

Wow, nice, I like the handle idea. I may have to steal that one from you if I decide to make another one. Looks good!

Thanks!

Here's what I've come up with so far. This is the prototype, and I will be making others in the near future. This one has a lazy-susan base, is made of red oak with red oak stain and finished with clear lacquer. I'm thinking that polished brass accents will work well on this color.
