My fellow REOnauts, I have a dilemma that I'm really stressing about. I have some gift money coming that would cover either a new atty or a new fishing reel and I'm having a helluva time deciding which way to go!

I'm looking for your experienced opinions about what makes the Odin or Nuppin stand apart from a really great performing RM3 dual coil setup. I've been using the RM3 for several weeks now and it is performing flawlessly with great vapor/flavor. I'm running dual 28g 6-wraps at around 0.5 ohms and drilled the air holes to 1/16 . It works well mouth to lung or with straight lung hits. From those that have used a dual RM3, what am I going to gain with the purchase of either the Odin or Nuppin?

My lone 1.5 year-old REO Grand has not been LP'd yet, but I'm prepared to DIY that project if I'm convinced that the others atty's are worth the effort and cost. After reading the threads on both, I'm kinda leaning more towards the Nuppin due to the smaller chamber as I understand it and the enhanced flavor from that (?). Any comparisons with the RM3 would be much appreciated.

If the choice is between a Nuppin and a Odin I vote Nuppin. It is my preferred atty next to my Chalice. I am very to have one and I will get another one after I recover from the Chalice run.

It is very easy to build on, it is the hardest hitting atty I have, it produces great flavor and vapor, it allows the door to slide up and down.

Don't get me wrong I like the Odin and the Cyclone AFC and I get good production out of them as well but I would choose a Nuppin over either of them for dual coil builds. I haven't yet built a single coil in one so I can not comment on that.

good luck in your decision

Firstly, I love the RM3 and I run just about exactly the same config as your describe It is a great vape - what I consider to be "the RM2 x 2".

From the sounds of it, you're really a MTL-to-light DL vaper looking for flavour over clouds (if you had to choose). With that in mind, the Nuppin' would prolly be more to your liking than the Odin.

Don't get me wrong - I have and love all three; this is about qualifying the field of really good atties. Also note that you can tweak any of these atties to be more mellow or more aggressive - there is overlap between them, but there is also a defining quality that differentiates them, IMHO.

I suggest the Nuppin' because it would extend your vaping possibilities towards a lustier, more open draw while preserving flavour being paramount. The Odin is my favourite for a full-on, intense direct lung vape (at the sacrifice of some flavour relative to the Nuppin' or RM3).

I think the Nuppin' would make a nice complement to the RM3 (as it does for me) and a natural extension of your current vaping - this isn't an either/or situation. The RM3 is a (relatively) mellow flavour factory with some bite if you want it; the Nuppin' is (naturally) a beefier vape with the same flavour production. There will be times when either is called for.

Now, if you're actually looking to change it up more and dance with the lung draw devil, the Odin is the more drastic change from the RM3.

As for getting a haircut and a new atty versus a brand new fishing reel. Well, all I can say is I love fish. I buy them all the time at the market.

I have owned both and hands down the Nuppin' is the the better atty. So good I sold off both authentic Odin's and both Odin clones I had in rotation. I put a build in mine 4 weeks ago when I received it and its still chucking and tasty. Flavor of a small atty and vapor of a big atty all combined in a medium sized package. With RxW in it, I don't think I will have to re-build it for at least another 8-10 weeks. I've said it before and will say it again, the Nuppin' is the best atty of 2014, if not since I started vaping almost 4yrs ago. You might want to get one soon cause I think this is the only run Peter is doing on them....

Another vote for the Nuppin and it does great with single coils. It's 2nd favorite right behind my Chalices.

I have a bunch of RM2's, both single and dual RM3's, an Atomic (same as the RM4), two VA Cyclones and many other small footprint BF's... and then I have the 2 Nuppin's. As a lung hitter who likes flavor over everything else, the small footprint BF's work fine if drilled out large enough or have AFC. But the Nuppin's have rapidly become my first choice BF's now - currently one running single the other dual coils. The give nothing up to the RM3's, instead offer more. Never had an Odin, have never used the BF'd Infinite CLT that was sent to me by mistake... I've decided that I simply don't want 22mm BF's on any of my Reos.

Fishing reels will always be available, but can't say that for sure about the Nuppin's. If when they they are gone they are in fact gone, plus with how well they have been accepted by those who have them, it could be that few of them will ever be offered for sale used. I know 2 that won't unless all the LP Reos I have at the time have been sold... "first".

Really good point Spydro - I'm sold.

I have a rm3, an odin, and a nuppin

Odin is too airy

Rm3 is less picky than my nuppin, can be frustrating if rewicking and one coil apparently moves half a nanometer ruining the vape on the nuppin

My nuppin likes a lower ohm build than rm3

I like both. But honestly, if 80 bucks is something you need to save up for, it isn't a necessity

Man I wish I could weigh in but since the only one of the three attys you mention I've used is the Odin.

Is there better? Dunno. It's been so good for me that I haven't thought to replace the 4 genuine Odins I have with anything else.

It is my first big atty and first dual coil atty. It was like when I met my wife - love at first sight. So I don't fancy others and I'm now a one atty guy. Sure I look but I don't touch. Sold every other atty I've had too.

Sorry I'm of very little assistance in this matter my brother.

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day.
Give a man a Reo, and he's gonna want to try all the BF atties on it.

Y'all know how it is. You get your first REO and slap an RM2 on it and you're experiencing the best vape you've ever had. Then you try a different atty and that's somehow even better - really? With the possibility that the Nuppin may be a limited run, I have to give it a go. But dang it man, can I take any more vaping bliss? Why yes, yes I can! You guys are great and I appreciate all your insights.

Where does one get a Chalice? And, they have the 1,2,and 3. Any better than the other? I do single coils, 1.2-1.3 ohms on my Grand.
Chalice is a unicorn, very hard to get and expensive. Last run sold out in 3 minutes and they went for $167. Don't have a link here but search for the official Chalice thread that has instructions on how to get in on the Feb sale
