It's screwed all the way down and this is the fourth build I've tried. Getting a reading on my ohm meter and my RM4 is firing fine.

Okay, so.....

If another atty (the RM4) fires on the reo fine, then it's not your button cover (which sometimes restricts the action of the button and firing pin). It's also not the 510 connector on the reo.

If the atty reads consistently on an ohm reader (one with a 510 connector), then you should have a good build and the atty should be capable of firing.

That would seem to leave the 510 connector on the reo - as in, the atty is not making a good connection with it. The atty center pin might be a tad short (hard to tell from the pic), but I still suspect that the atty is not screwing in enough to make contact. I have a cyclone that screws in tight on two reos but not far enough to make contact, yet screws all the way in on another and works fine. All other atties work great on all those same reos.

Now, I've not adjusted the center pin on those particular atties, so I'll bow out of advice on trying that - Filthy Beast is most likely your man there. If it is a threading issue, maybe PM'ing Rob (redeyedancer) would get you some good advice.

Thanks Papa. I screwed it down as tight as it would go just to be sure and still nothing. It's strange because it was firing on my first build but nothing since.

I had this problem once. I removed the juice bottle and black delrin piece from inside and used needle nose pliers to slightly raise the center pin. Worked for me.

Neb, home you got your Igo to fire!

Just ordered one. I'm a flavor girl. Love my RM2 and have used it for over a yr, but have needed to really crank it down to get proper line-up (no matter the Oring combo). I always cross my fingers that I don't damage the gasket.

Asked Rob to drill the air hole for me. Did it myself on an Igo dripper but hey, I don't mind asking for help.

Great thread!

Just had a chance to play around with this sweet little atty. I really like it. At first it was not making contact with the center post but was on another device. It was also time for me to replace the gasket in the mini, so I did that. Guess what? We have contact!! Really great flavor...not sure any difference from my beloved RM2 (too early to tell) but I do like that I can easily line up the air hole with the coil. (Not worried about the cap coming off as I don't pocket my Mini). Easy to build.
Me like!

Not sure if you know this, but if your coils gunk up often (with in a few days). What I've started doing is I'll remove the wick, dry fire the coils to get them glowing orange, release the firing button and tilt the atty 90 degrees and quickly rinse under cold running water. It will get rid of all the gunk and make them look as if you just wrapped them. Completely shiny and new looking. Then I'll dry fire again to remove any left over water and rewick. Not sure if you can do that on the woodvil, but it works great on the grand, I'm not worried about any wires or electronics getting wet.

+1 Thanks, I've been doing that, on the Woodvils too, works great! My Woodvils have a less tall catch cup than standard, it is ground down close to the base of the atty. I read that there is less gunking with a spaced coil so this is an experiment to find out. I also think the spaced coil will clean up easier under the tap, will find out soon, or better still, in a few days time. Usually I'll get 2 x 8hr days out of that build then it needs dry burn/rewick.
