I know FA has wonderful honey. Have you tried combining their honey with Seedman's virginia fired cured flavor concentrate? Those two make a nice vape.

I have the perfect honey flavor (it IS INDEED from FA and I agree its great) what I'm looking for is a good "flue cured tobacco" flavor to add. I think that I'd try it if it was closed to what I'm looking for.
Any experience with just a tobacco absolute mix?

Where I usually am
Hi guys. sorry it took so long to get back.. I have ordered a mass amount of products and still can't get that flavor i'm looking for.!! and ''mayasveil'', your right. the tobacco absolute in my opinion is a juice wrecker even with one drop of it in a 30mil bottle to me its like BURNING hay or grass!!! I have FA honey and FA tobacco ,...getting close. On Saturday I ordered more tobacco flavorings from different venders so''BASSTHUMPER'', I'll keep you and the rest of the gang posted. PS. If it helps I'm a fan of liquidxpress's honey flue cured juice. Any ideas people? Please share. Thanks

Here
Max, PLEASE work on it and let us know. Hummmm, I don't have any maple, but do have guaiacol and a variety of others. If somebody wants to trade maple for one of my flavors, PM me.

DM what tobacco flavors are you using? What mixtures have you already tried? Perhaps if we all "REALLY" share our experiments ... meaning full disclosure perhaps that flavor can be nailed faster and it could be more cost effective if we also shared flavors.

How do you, Max and Bassthumper feel about that? PM me with your thoughts.

I already made a 2mL test batch. The base liquid is some well-aged FA Virginia at 6% flavoring in a 45% PG/ 55% VG base. To 1.7mL of this I added:

0.2mL Lorann Honey*
0.06mL FA Maple Syrup
0.03mL FA Clove
0.015mL FA Oakwood
0.015mL PA Guaiacol

Testing will have to wait until Saturday however.

*I found the little bottle of FA Honey after I'd already added the Lorann's. Next time...

Forgot to add: I'm using LiquidXpress Flue Cured as the standard to measure my DIY attempts against, since I still have some of that left. I also have a bottle of the FC flavoring.

Hmmmmm, Oakwood? Very interesting. I'm betting that even if it isn't what your shooting for that it will still be a good vape.

Thanks Hoosier...a good vape, that's all I need!

Hope it'll be at least a starting point for creating a decent honey flue cured juice. I was nuts for the LiquidXpress (Honey) Flue Cured when it came out, but the next bottle didn't taste the same and adding FC flavoring didn't fix it.

I'm also curious to try a version that has a more robust tobacco flavor and a slight smokiness.

Well, I couldn't wait until Saturday.

First test batch, 2mL
1.7mL FA Virginia base, 7% flavoring, 24mg, 45/55 PG/VG
0.2mL Lorann Honey....... 10%
0.06mL FA Maple Syrup... 3%
0.03mL FA Clove............ 1.5%
0.015mL FA Oakwood...... 0.75%
0.015mL PA Guaiacol....... 0.75%

Testing Hardware
Notcigs Buzz and new Joye 510 atomizer at 2.1Ω

Impressions

At 4.0 volts: V2 /Ω =7.6 watts
Tobacco is a mellow background.
Honey is very faint. (?!?)
Maple isn't detectable.
Clove is very faint.
Oakwood is a little too up-front.
Guaiacol is a little strong.

At 4.5 volts: V2 /Ω =9.6 watts
The balance of tastes didn't change much but this was too harsh on a fresh atty. Reminded me of oak chips in a Little Chief Smoker.

Next batch:
  • Increase batch size to 3mL
  • Switch to FA Honey, same percentage
  • Double the percentage of Maple Syrup
  • Double the percentage of Clove
  • Leave the amount of Oakwood the same
  • Ditto for the Guaiacol

Thoughts anyone?

I don't taste any clove in the HFC??
GAH this is frustrating I've made so many nasty batches of juice searching for this flavor.
I'm tired of buying bottles of HFC I really want to make my own in bulk!

I'm glad we FINALLY have found a few other people that share the same interest and know how to DIY.
PLEASE keep everyone updated!
I realized something the other day though:
I have this Dekang USA mix e-liquid. It's OKAY at best, but I noticed when I load it into a cartomizer, it tastes ALOT like the HFC from Liquidxpress. ALOT. That's not true when dripping however, and that's what I normally do.
The most recent batch I've made which is yummy but not what we're looking for, was simply FA Honey + FA Virginia it's a little too sweet.
I really like that "FLUE CURED" tobacco flavor that their HFC and Vanilla tobacco has. Liquidxpress' VANILLA TOBACCO has the exact same Tobacco undertones that the HCF has. I just wish their flavoring wasn't so diluted... I guess they do that so you caan't make it yourself! Too bad I'm sure we'll figure it out soon enough ;)
I'll keep testing different recipes and you guys keep on experimenting and we'll get this recipe down eventually!
Good work guys! We'll call ourselves the HFC team lol!

Neither do I, but to me there's a spicy bite in LX HFC, similar to that in Best Ecig flue cured; this is what I consider to be the difference between "flue-cured" and Virginia. (I don't get the same taste from Dekang Flue Cured) I'm thinking that the right balance among Maple, Clove, Oakwood and Smoke (guaiacol) could come close to this taste.

Interesting. What kind of cartos are you using? Maybe the flue (air passage) is cured. :p

Be prepared to make like Thomas Edison. :)

Yay team!

Who wants to apply for cheerleader?
