The first time I have heard about analog concerning smoking is here in this forum. I am still not sure what "analog" is refering too for this matter but I am wondering what is going to be found in the 2012 dictionary:

Analogue means something that is like something else, but not quite. AKA an analogy

The way people use it on the forum is more in the terms of analog(non-electronic) vs digital(electronic), such as watches with gears which are analog clocks and watches with electronic components which are digital clocks.
