Hookah Vape pen????

Good morning,

I wanted to send my nephew some e-liquid for Xmas. I was told he uses a "Hookah Vape Pen" with oils.

My understanding and when researching this is-these are either the same as e-cigs or are referring to the disposable e-cigs. Am I right? Or is there some other completely different setup?

If it is a different set up; what are these "oils"? The same as e-liquids? Can e-liquids be used with them?

Not sure but I think "hookah" is just uninformed slang that people who are not knowledgeable have for any PV device. It's probably just a pen-style vaporizer and I would imagine any e-juice would work in it, don't think there is any particular e-juice that doesn't work in any PV.

It sounds like a great idea, however, since you are both vapers, better to find out what he's using and might want.
Perhaps a Gift card from his favourite vendor so he could select what he needs. Juice, batteries, Toppers, etc.

I have over 100 new bottles of a particular vendor I love and would like to have him try.....but thanks for the suggestion on the gift certificates.

Yes hookahs have been around for a long time wonner. So it makes it easy for people new to the e-cig world to classify them as hookahs....just like it makes it easy to refer to PVs as e-cigs....a way to identify items.

could be just an ego twist alot of my friends call my reo a ehooka. ego twists are called e hookah to some people as well.. but they do sell E-hookah pens at gas stations and liquor stores that have all kinds of flavors apple cave, blueberry mist etc... should call him and ask to clarify those pens are just like the blu cigs you puff puff till the light flashes and you toss them away

Most of the "e-hookah" setups I have seen are nothing more than eGo style setups ... at a much higher cost!

I don't use much of tobacco flavors. The only one I do use is Virgin Vapors Best Damn Tobacco. I have many favorite sweet vapes though (No the artificial sweetness but more of a real sweet flavor).

All I know is when I show my set up to someone who has never seen anything like it before, they say, "Oh, that's a hookah, isn't it." so it must be a slang term for anything that's not a cigalike.

There are "hookah pins" out there. My neighbor, 18 years old and a confirmed analog smoker for several years, called me over and proudly showed me his "hookah" which looked like a cigalike but was purple with red decorations. He said it had no nic. As far as I could tell there was no way to recharge it or refill it. I'd say these things are bad news, the antz will jump right on this as it appears to be an entry level device. I did hit on it, very little vapor or taste. Again, this young man, a very nice guy, is a smoker already so its not leading him astray.

My first set-up was a "personal e-hookah". Nothing more than your typical eGo battery with a clearomizer.

The hookah pen "oils" may have some molasses flavor or something. Meh. Check with the vendors on page one for different flavors that may be similar to hookah flavors (but not burned! The media keeps lumping e-cigs and hookah because they are both fads right now. Grrrrr. Hookah is still smoking, e-cigs are not. And now we have "hookah pens". Grrrrr again. Marketing. They are just feeding the ANTZ with this crap.)

I vote for the eGo and standard 510 threaded gear. And maybe an e-coupon to a nearby vape shop if there is one.

I'm no prude, but I've got an issue with underage kids getting a hold of these, and I just learned from some high school kids that a lot of ego style batteries are being confiscated at local schools. Nothing's made it to the local media, but it can't be good. Word of mouth among kids travels faster than warp speed. I wring my hands and sincerely hope the whole "the kids are doing it" doesn't come true......

If he is into the one time use ones you should get him something from the Fantasia brand ehookahs, very flavorful and last a good bit.

That is what some at work have called my Ego Twist with a pro tank II mini on it!
