Hi all.
As the topic states, going too try and quit the smoking thing......AGAIN! Champex, nicorette everything, cold turkey, nota. I tried the vaping thing here in canada, those that say WITH nicotine. Bs. No nicotine in those liquids! But I do enjoy the flavours. I have the eGO vaping kit, love it. But I have to at least try the real NIC content stuff. Need my five posts. I will try and make them, real posts not just fillers! I bought my kit fall of 2012. And only needed to replace one tank so far. Well thats it for now. I hope this time I can stay cigarette free! Thanks

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your decision to quit analogs. It takes time and patience to find the right hardware and software to make your vaping experience just right for you. I am sure you will find a lot of recommendations in the various forums here, but in the end it's up to your personal tastes. Find what you like, but don't be afraid to experiment with new hardware and flavors.

Welcome, and good luck!

1.) Ready your vaping gear. Get some juice with 36mg nic if you have to.

2.) Target a couple of days to start vaping again. Your days off. Pick two where you can just be at home.

3.) Make sure your last analogs around the house are gone. Go ahead, smoke 'em up.

4.) Go to some places you never could smoke at and vape away.

Be careful with #4. Around here, bars ban smoking but vaping is just fine. I now have a drinking problem. Also, stuffing those dollar bills inside of girls underwear really adds up.

One piece of advice I would add, if you are a beer drinker you will have to play around with flavors that work well with your favorite brews. I drink dark beers like porters and stouts. So for me Juicy Fruit just doesn't click. My DIY peanut butter cup works well with my style of beer, as does English toffee. I'm always looking at new and different flavors to compliment my brew addictions. I bring this up because it was a struggle to enjoy a good porter w/o a smoke until I found the right combos.

If you want to get straight onto rebuilding which is not hard. I just recently started to.

Get the hcigar kayfun 3.1 and a mod off of fasttech like the nemesis clone. Buy some 18650 Sony batteries with a charger. Some wick and coil and you're good to go.

I'm amazed at the flavor that is produced by this kayfun. Amazing.

...but that's not to say it's that way for everybody. I started using the disposables available here in the States almost everywhere. When I realized they didn't actually last anywhere near as long as advertised, I smoked an analog until I could get another.

After two days of that, I bought a true clearomizer/battery combo and a bottle of fluid. I never went back. True, I've experimented with different equipment and fluids, but that was two months ago and I've only had one real cigarette in that time...more as an experiment than anything. It was a non-issue, as I went right back to vaping.

I have no desire--after 40 years of daily smoking--to go back. People congratulate me, but it was nearly effortless; and I feel a little guilty when the praise flows in. It was that easy, BUT again, this was after 40 years of trying to quit. I used the gum and it gave me laryngitis. I couldn't speak at all. I tried the patch and it gave me a rash. I continued to have cravings, and indeed smoked when trying both of these 'alternatives'.

I've settled for the moment on the EVOD with a 650 mAh pass-through battery, and Liqua brand Cuban Cigar flavor juice at 24 mg/ml strength. This is the first juice that I can really say that I actually like. It's not cigarette smoke, but it's not fruit flavor, either. It's more reminiscent of a almond nutty flavor. Very satisfying.

Go for it! You can do it. All it takes is a little commitment. Just decide you're no longer a cigarette smoker, and you've moved on to something better. You have....

^^Ditto on the beer (or any) drinking and flavor e-juice: Alcohol numbs my buds I guess, I have a strong flavor that I MUST have when I'm drinking (cinnamon) or I'd been taking analogs.

Hello guys i am new with the ecigs and i bought a lot of cartriges of 1.8mg because i smoke regular cigarretes a lot so i thought i would need i high nicotine to start but turns out that the throat hit is too much and i dont like that, do you know if there is a way to smooth the hit a little bit? a dont know, with water

Yes, you could try mixing in a little water, or you could get some VG (Vegetable Glycerin) and mix that with your liquid. It sounds like you are using prefilled cartridges though, of course you can't do much for the liquid that's already in them unless you're plannng on squeezing the liquid out of the fill material.

I found you have to vape preemptively to stave off the nic craving. it isnt like a cigarette where you have some when you get the craving. you have to vape before you are craving it.

I dont know how are you vaping, but the way you should use is the same as with a regular cig; do it whatever you feel the crave. What ppl mostly dont get is that vaping is a poor nicotine cessation tool; but its a very powerful TOBACCO cessation tool. Its basically replacing one habit, or nicotine deliver system for another.
