I've been smoking for nearly 15 years and not enjoying it for the last 4, perpetual illness can't be a good thing. My only problem is willpower and the fact that my partner does'nt want to quit, not that i'm blaming her as just seeing someone light a ... on tv make me want one.

I started looking at ecigs when i saw a free trial on an advert but was quickly dissuaded when i realized they required creditcard details for something supposedly 'free'. This got me looking though and after finding this site and all the helpfull people posting great info I decided to go for a Mega Titan 510. The starter kit comes with 3 atomizers, 3 batteries, a multi charging unit, 10 cartridges, and 10ml of juice. Also after reading some other posts decided to get a 5ml multi pack of various strength juice as well.

Now i'm in the down time waiting for the batteries to take a first charge and then hopefully i'll be vaping away. I just want to thank everyone who posts for all the great advice.:)

Hello & welcome Sasquatch :)

So relieved to hear you didn't go with the "Free trial" e-cig. They are a nightmare to cancel & they end up being far from free.

You have made a good choice with the kit you have bought & as soon as the light on your charger turns green you are ready to vape :) In fact the batteries usually come with at least some factory charge...

.

You'll get the hang of it - I have the same outfit here and I've only got a 48 hour headstart on you! Mine is tasting great and is getting better!

Good Luck, Mate!

Thanks for the support, just had my first go with the titan and I got to say that it doesn't taste much like tobbacco but on a whole not unpleasant. Im getting a head rush like when I first started smoking. One question though the cartridge does not last that long and i followed the instructions on the totally wicked box 3-4 drops in an empty cartridge does that sound right? It only gives about 10-12 drags before it starts to thin out.

Cheers!

I put 3 to 4 drops, just to top off a cartridge. I put 9 to 10 drops in an empty cartridge. Just be careful not to overfill the cartridge or you will flood the atomizer. There is a learning curve, but you will get the hang of it.

Welcome to the ECF, you will find a lot of nice people and good information on here.

That's about right :D You are not going to get anything that tastes exactly like tobacco but after a while you will start to prefer the different taste of e-liquid - honest! :D

Yes 3-4 drops or as many as it will take to get the filling really moist. Plus add a drop to the open (cartridge end) of the atomiser.

Oops sorry jerry, I crossed posts with you

Not a problem Chrissie, new vapers need all the advice they can get. One thing I forgot to mention when I said I put 9 to 10 drops in an empty cartridge is that I use a small straw as a "vent pipe" in my cartridges, so I can really fill them up.

The straws that I use, I cut from plastic "Q-tip swabs", but you can use coffee stirrers or any small hollow tube. Cut one end at an angle and the other end a little bit below the top of the cartridge. It allows air that is trapped in the filler material to escape, allowing you to put more e-juice into the cartridge.

Does that mean that you keep the straw in the cartridge when you fill it only or do you keep it in while vaping as well? I tried 9 drops and one put through the filler material late last night and it is still going strong today. When i get home i think i will try the straw idea with stronger juice 11mg tastes a little light though it sounds like a lot. Also i've not had a single analog since yesterday, might not sound like a long time but definlty a record for me!

Sasquatch, I keep the straw in the cartridge all of the time. I place it in a corner of the cartridge, between the cart and the filler material. Just make sure you cut it below the top of the cartridge, so the atomizer doesn't melt it. Before I used the straw mod, I was topping off every few minutes, now I can vape for quite a while, before I have to fill it again.

I didn't cut it quite short enough the first time and i gotta say q-tips don't taste as nice as one might think. lol Cut a bit more off and away i went it works great now!

If your first flavor is acceptable, you're ahead of me.

I wouldn't say my first flavor was great but tolerable. I normaly smoke Golden Virginia roll ups and the first flavour i tried was marlboro, not quite up my street. Regular tobbacco flavour is a bit better but i'm still gonna explore some others.

You didn't enjoy the melting plastic taste? lol. It's all part of the learning process, fortunately you found this forum, so you can learn from the people who have already made the mistakes.

Try adding some vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, or whatever you prefer e-juice to flavors that you don't really like. That may save you from having to throw it out.
