I love cartomizers. I've been vaping for 14 months and use them exclusively with rarely a problem.
I'd been trying the horizontal coils, for the last few months. I bought boxes from different vendors at different times. Each time I tried one, it had an "off" taste to me. That "off" taste was there from each carto, unrelated to vendor or liquid. It is not a dry hit, or burnt taste.
I tried cleaning them before use, still the taste was there. I autopsied each carto I tried... some had signs of singe, but others looked new. I became very familiar with that taste, and it started to make me nauseous.
Each time I tried a horizontal coil, I felt worse than the time before. I've given up on them.
I think I may be sensitive or allergic to the adhesive used in them, or something used exclusively in horizontals, as I have no problem at all with vertical coils!
My reason for posting is for information purposes. I'd like to find out if anyone else is having or has had the same problem with horizontal coils.
After over a year in this community, I doubt it's only me, but I won't know without asking.
Thanks for reading.
Nat.
PS. I syringe fill my cartos, let them to sit at least 8 hours, and check to be sure they're slushy before use. I top off early and often.
I either clean or discard a carto after running 3ml to 5ml of liquid through it, depending on the liquid. I use different ratios of PG/VG... 80/20, 70/30, and 50/50.
I use both 808's and 510's. My PV's are kr808, eGo, Riva 510, Riva 901, VGO 808, and VGO/LUX 510.
