I drip, I love it.

I recently opened a new atty I got from altsmoke.com when my last atty (and my first, heh :p ) started to die after about 9 months. This seems normal I guess and I'm gonna try to deep clean it.... anyways thats not the issue.

Whenever I vape with this new atty it will get very hot within the first hit and 2 drips on the atty will burn within 3-4 hits! I'm amazed! I don't even know where the vapor/liquid goes! I don't like carts and have passed the primer phase. What should I do? Oh this is my working pv so I need a fix somewhat fast

Thanks in advance,
~McVapor

What type of atty did you order/buy?

It sounds like you are now using an LR (low resistance) atomizer. Or, you are using a regular atty that came out of the factory with very low resistance, which happens once in a while.

What you are describing is a coil getting very hot very quickly - which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Keep the atty wet and enjoy yourself, man. lol

I take it from your post that you don't have a spare atty? You've been around long enough to know better. <g> And, no multimeter to test that atty with either, right?

What do you mean that you don't have a 'nicotine usage' now? The atty died?

I think I have some nico lozenges but I don't have any nicotine now and I'm not going back to analogs :p

my last atty is performing very poorly so I decided to break into this one. I'm trying to clean the old one to revive it for another month of so. :p

It's a 510 BTW and I ordered the standard 510 not intending to get a low-resistance but what you said does make sense. Low-resistance and RY4 don't go well together, its my favorite juice and at this rate I won't have any left soon XD (2 drops = 2 drags?). I'll try more flavors in it.

What's a good use for LR attys? And I normally do have a multimeter but it's in storage haha (Murphey's Law)

The atty on the left (with ring) is a non-Joye brand 510 atty. The one on the right is a Joye brand 510 atty.

Surprisingly I actually prefer the Joye brand attys. I bought three of the non-Joye's and can't get them working - they are very hard to draw from for me and seem to not produce much vapor BUT I use carts.

My Joye brand attys do get hot- although it takes more than 3-4 hits, probably more like 6-7 consecutive hits, to really get them hot. I then just pause for about 1 minute or so and it cools down enough to go back to vaping.

I like the DSE510. I had two of those attys and they were great! I don't like my new atty. What should I do? anywhere I can intentionally buy a DSE510 atty and see if this is the 'cure' to my problems? :D

Also do you think this IS a LR atty? Can I get a joye510 atty not in LR too? or are all Joye510 attys LR?

Chances are if you bought this from altsmoke it's a LR atty - that's all they have listed for the 510.

I bought my non Joye attys from valuevapor.

God, I love my LR atty. Only need to take a 3 second hit as opposed to 5 and I get incredible throat hit and great vapor. Just keep it wet and it's golden. I was really nervous about dripping, but with the LR atty I notice a subtle but definite change in the taste when it's getting dry. I add two more drops and go again. I seem to get anywhere from 5-8 hits before adding two drops and then 5-8 more again. So far no flooding and the atty is doing well at just under a weeks use. We'll see if it lasts a good long while.

I also blow mine out and store them battery side up at night to let any liquid drain overnight. So far, so good.
