Thank You for this link. I was having the same issues with my T3S and Protank heads. Even looked at them with a 10 power loupe and could not see the leg glowing, but could hear the rubber squeeling and see smoke coming from the rubber.
I went crazy for about three weeks messing with these things, and finally decided it wasn't worth my time anymore. I would like to give it another go with fresh grommets now :)

I was about to give up, but ordered a batch of these. Hopefully they'll get here this week. I'll update with how they work!

Awesome, I hope they work for you. I am using a Protank 3 coil that I rebuilt with dual coils and a silicone grommet, and it's really the best coil I have ever used.

I'm so not ready to try rebuilding dual coils lol. But I hope to one day!

It's not really any harder than building one...just build two coils, position one on top of the other (not touching), twist the legs together, then put it into the head just like a single coil. It only works well on Protank 3 heads because they have enough vertical room to handle the two. I have done it in a standard single-coil head and it worked, but the airflow was constricted so it actually performed worse than a single coil.
