I know right $108 bucks for the mod I couldn't resist. Attempted to walk away with a bunch of juice and an Aromamizer but then that cropped up.

Holy cow! You've been waiting quite a bit of time and I'm pretty sure you sent yours back before mine. What gives? I do remember it was on "preorder" for quite a long time I think might of been the majority of the wait. But still it should of been sent out alongside mine.
I fought with them for a month to get them to replace just the battery and saying the post office would not allow me to ship a known bad lipo through the mail due to fire hazard hoping they would just send me a whole pack. No good there so I had to send pack case & all. Idiots don't stock the batteries they list and every time they get them in I guess they are shipping out to people stupid enough to pay $45 for the pack before they send it to me.

I had no choice but to console myself with decadent spending on a $108 Wismec Reuleaux to keep myself from freaking out! Got an Aromamizer as well & a Super KS as well.

That's right I remember now you had sent the battery alone instead of the whole thing. I didn't jump on the extra batteries when the were the cheap price sure won't now either. So I had no issue sending the whole mod in.

Regretting not sending whole mod in now, but I didn't want to then because I figured they would just send me another with a depleted battery all over again. Was hoping if it was just battery alone it would arrive without being depleted.

Sorry I didn't send back whole thing now because I would tell them to just keep it at this point & refund me my money.

I was just considering buying this as the fast tech price is back to $125 but t seems like the issues are still there. I can't go back through the whole thread (I'm two days post op and just can't handle the read) can anyone executive summary the state of this thing for me? Shopping batteries separately now? Dual 18650 sled or replacement lacks available? Quality general the same with a lot of returns needed ?

Is the wise Mac better ? Is the deal
Still on for it ? I've never heard of it before the recent mention.

I appreciate the help.

The original version was shipped with a non-up to date firmware to the DNA200. The bug that the update handled was a slight battery drain when not in use. So since the mods shipped with batteries attached they came either dead or slightly damaged from the drain. In our case we had a flat lined cell that affected the entire pack and thus battery life.

They meant to start producing and selling extra batteries for the DX200. Which is what you see on Fasttech. However they've been price gouged to nearly twice the amount it was listed on the first day. So far that's the only extra batteries for sale unless you go through Hotcig themselves.

As for the Wismec Reuleaux DNA200 is a triple 18650 mod that was made to circumvent the idea Evolving had with Li-pos and their ability to handle higher voltages. Since it can hold 3 18650s it can push the 200w (and voltage required) where as dual 18650 DNA200 mods could only do 133w max. Now that is not to say I want to push the 200w but the battery life will be astounding to say the least.

FT has been $125 right along using code MAP. Hotcig has been advised of need to update chips before shipment by Evolv so new ones should no longer ship that way.

Replacement pack at FT still $45 - Were $23 & change when first listed. Code MAP does not discount these. Hotcig charges $45 plus DHL shipping fees for pack. Not aware of anyone else carrying pack.

Great Mod. Little clunky feel because of the square box that feels big in hand. No 18650 sled available.

VapeNW ended stacking of deals and ran out of Reuleaux last I looked. They may have restocked on sat. They would be $136 & change if they still have them.

Edit: They have restocked. It is listed at $169.95. Use code 20%offblackfriday & it drops to $135.96. Comes with 3) 35a 18650s included. Sale goes through 11/30.

So as I sit here patiently awaiting the arrival of my DX200 replacement in shipping limbo. I couldn't help myself during all these Black Friday sales going on. With that said I will have a Reuleaux DNA200 soon and before my DX200 arrives. Thinking I'll probably sell it before long due to the Wismec. But the upshot is I would have 2 DNA200s should I feel froggy.

Personally I would hold on to them both, try them out and make sure they both work ok before selling one. I have the DX200 myself and am waiting for a Reuleaux to arrive.
I see lots of reports of problems with the Reuleaux in the Reuleaux Facebook group. It seems with all these DNA200's that there are good ones and bad ones within each model. I have a good DX200 and hope my Reuleaux turns out to be a good one too.
All these company's now, especially the Chinese, seem to be letting the public shell out their hard earned cash and do the beta testing for them, then release an upgrade within months if not weeks.
I suspect that with all the impending legislation coming in the States and the onset of TPD enforcement here in the UK and rest of Europe that manufactures are trying to cash in and make as much as they can as fast as they can before 99% of products are outlawed. Just my suspicious mind but hey ho that's how it appears.

Might explain why Kangertech released its first temperature controlled mod without even bothering to make sure the temperature control functions in it worked properly. Utterly inexcusable for a manufacturer of Kangertech's status in the industry. Never been a fan, but really had high hopes for that device. Works great as a Kanthal mod but torches stock nickel coils very easily if you are not careful.

With the DNA 200 mods the problem seems to be the board though, the US-designed and -manufactured board.

Agreed but how many of those failures are caused by the board vs the manner the board was treated during assembly is anyones guess.

I never resell on a whim but of course to make sure they do work in good order. The DX200 I had before I sent it back was working wonderfully but the Lipo pack would not hold a charge. I was a bit sour to send the entire mod back since the chip was working as intended. But from the looks of it I might be getting the updated version of the mod according to FT.

I did really enjoy it so I might just keep it either way or recover some of my monies I dumped over the BF/CM sales. Most of the problem lies with the chip itself but at the same time I won't ever go above 100w or take the mod through heavy loads. Either way I will forgo purchasing the extra batteries for it since I have the Reuleaux on the way. Who knows maybe the pricing will go down in time for the extra lipos. Still like the nice small form factor and makes me reminisce holding my VS rDNA40.

The new batch of DX200 is arriving from Fast Tech with the battery detached from it and, therefore, alive. It is also equipped with new Hot Fire charger, but I still refuse to use it.

Well that's definitely looking up for me as I should be acquiring the same thing. Still in shipping limbo but oh well my other DNA200 came in. Is the chip even updated or are we still looking at the old firmware?

The firmware is up-to-date
Nice! Gee disconnected the battery and updated the chip too. Took their sweet time getting this done. But thankfully it has been accomplished and look forward to the replacement FT has sent. Thanks a bunch for posting this AMD does assuage some of the doubts!

Finally, a little battery box has arrived and I made myself a balanced Li-Ion 18650 charger connector for my Wismec Reuleaux DNA200.

Schematically, it looks like this, if anyone's interested. As you can see, there is no need for separate positive and negative wires to be connected directly to the battery. So, Mr. DeareN, your cable is just fine.
