see Hotcig added this user advice to its banner message on their website. Too funny after the way they shipped most of these units:

Still back and forth with FT while I wait for my replacement to ship. Recently had a message a few minutes ago as the DX200s they will be carrying will have the newer charger. Hopefully this means they'll have the updated version of the mod as well. In any case I was perfectly fine with the original design before. But if this is the case then things might be looking up.

1. I don't believe that your charger is not one of the clones. Authentic one looks like this: SkyRC iMAX B6AC V2
2. I simply took the standard 4.00mm bananas, removed the springs and turned them to 3.00mm in my lathe. But, I'm sure if I didn't have a lathe, I would have used electric drill and a file.
I made my own cables.

It's the charger who has the problem after all.

It overcharges the second cell with all the cables.

I'll throw it away there's no point to open a ticket with fasttech they ll tell me it's working fine.

I'll throw it to the recycle bin and buy the original although it's very overpriced in Europe

Since getting my replacement battery from FT I have been using it ever since. Today I ran it down to about 11.4 volts and switched it with the original one which was at full charge. Not good for storage as I don't use both as yet.
As I sit here twiddling my thumbs waiting patiently for a replacement to be sent.

I received my replacement DX lipo as well. Unfortunately both lipos show a large amount of voltage sag, even at 40-50 watts. A sign of crappy lipo. I expect venting reports to show up in a couple of months.
Here's a live view of my older one, the lower dip is 11.70 volts, is this much different than yours?

Unfortunately yes. Mine goes down to 9.8 volts and takes longer to recover. The older lipo goes down to 10.4. You don't seem to have the preheat spike, is yours turned off?
It's at 55 watts preheat. This compares with my Opus which has a 1000 mah lipo.

:tumble:
Pretty quiet in here, assuming everyone's mod is all dandy now... (Maybe)

Finally going to get some movement on my replacement being sent by FT. According to them it will "supposedly" be the updated model. Although when I was contacting them back and forth they said they were only carrying the original design for the DX200. So I guess I will see when the mod is back in my hands. I just want a decent battery that isn't DOA this time.

So far everything is working great.

My 2 extra batteries arrived in perfect health.

If only I could find v2 in cheap price I would buy it instantly.

v2 also comes with new charger and mod is seperated from battery so no draining issues there.

I won't spend more money for buying an expensive quality charger , I prefer to buy a second device (v2) . The DNA200 on board charger is all i need.

Hope fasttech or gb to get the v2 before christmas cause hotcig focuses on a new product called Hero.

A week or so ago they asked me if I was interested in the newer charger. So of course I was in definite agreement of having it. Twas what tipped me off about the updated model. But maybe they wanted to be a little hush hush but then again I shall see.

Hotcig needs to slow down with this DNA200 hype. Releasing pictures of the updated model and the other design they had in mind for it. Yet its still hasn't hit the shelves of suppliers and retailers. Now this? Good Lord just send out a quality mod before ramming another mod out the door. Granted our concern was with the battery pretty much entirely.

A little bit off topic

It seems every Chinese company nowadays is in a rush to bring something new.

The result is to make fatal mistakes like DX200 when they had the brilliant idea to ship the battery connected to a chip without Off function and with a bug to drain power.

Now the customers have every right to be reluctant despite the fact that DX200 is a great device IMO.

The same thing happened to ipv d2 v2 v3 then d3 then... who knows... Same as the Joyetech with lipos and so on.

This is why I prefer to buy my main device and atties from modders with acclaimed customer service like many modders here in Greece.

Many of which became my friends over these 4 years that I vape.

To return to the topic I really like escribe and DNA200 and Hotcig (or fasttech if you like) allowed me to get it in a reasonable price compared to the Western modders.

Let's be honest for most of us it was an experiment to preorder the device with a risk to get a ....ty mod. I'm more than satisfied and it's a value for money device if the price stays the same.
If Fasttech gets a coupon for the extra batteries like the price that I paid for them (25) I will be more than happy to recommend this device in the future.

I won't recommend it for the time being unless it's confirmed that v2 is sold at 125 and the extra batteries at 25.

169 plus 45 for a battery is ridiculous especially now that we have more options without the need of lipos which many vapers are still afraid of.

I agree the battery should never have been shipped connected, but the major blunder is by Evolv. It was really, really stupid to not include an off function for a chip that's designed to be used with non-removable batteries.

This right here.
My biggest reason was that I piggybacked off my experience with Hcigar's HB40. At that time it was the cheapest DNA40 and my first foray into TC back in March. From a prominent cloner to a "legitimate" manufacturer my experience was wholely positive but it wasn't without issue (grounding wire). My model had a quick fix and still runs strong today.

So as I sit here patiently awaiting the arrival of my DX200 replacement in shipping limbo. I couldn't help myself during all these Black Friday sales going on. With that said I will have a Reuleaux DNA200 soon and before my DX200 arrives. Thinking I'll probably sell it before long due to the Wismec. But the upshot is I would have 2 DNA200s should I feel froggy.

I'm still Waiting on my DX200 replacement battery to ship from Fasttech - was supposed to ship 11/17, now they are saying 11/30. Been almost 2 months since I first requested replacement. Really getting on my nerves.

Last thing I need is another DNA200 as I've got the Hana v200 (still need to solder in the replacement board I had to send back to Evolv), Vapor Shark 200, a working Hotcig DX200, & the one that is awaiting the battery replacement. Also have 2 ERM+ on order from Mikes CoOp that will probably beat Fasttech here.

I still ordered the Wismec Reuleaux from VapeNW the other day as well. Couldn't pass it up with the 20% on 20% deal they had. Ended up Cheaper than the Hotcig DX200 and will come with the batteries as well (hopefully). They already shipped it and I'll probably have it by Tuesday. Nice looking mod!

I know right $108 bucks for the mod I couldn't resist. Attempted to walk away with a bunch of juice and an Aromamizer but then that cropped up.

Holy cow! You've been waiting quite a bit of time and I'm pretty sure you sent yours back before mine. What gives? I do remember it was on "preorder" for quite a long time I think might of been the majority of the wait. But still it should of been sent out alongside mine.
